Anyone watch it ? So far this anime got me all worked up after Cowboy Bebop. The series ended with 24 episodes but I still believe this anime will be continued. But there's one thing that bothering me after watching the final episode. *****WARNING SPOILER AHEAD***** The scene where after Balalaika and her henchman Boris killed all the council, she handed the handgun to Rokajima (Rock) but he handed back to her after holding for a while, then she threw the gun into the pond. Fast forward to the pond after Balalaika "helped" Rock escaped by lurring the police's attention (he escaped by ridinng along Revy who stole a motorcycle somewhere), it showed the same gun that she threw, only that with a finger print on the handle. What was it mean ? Is she trying to screw up Rock so the interpol will come hunt him down just because Rock wanted her to stop slaughtering the Washimine clan ? I couldn't help but feel something fishy there. *****SPOILER ENDS***** So what do you think ?
I think it's trying to convey the message that Rock has the abilities to become a very deceiving villian. What Rock wants the most he'll never be able to have in his grasp, for he can NEVER come back home so his new family is with the crew of Lagoon. I'd also like to see it continue because it was my favorite new series of 2006. But I'm not getting my hopes up because that ending was BANGing.
didn't they do a second series after the first one? Forgive the stupid question but I only saw the first series and I know there was a second so unless this is the second series your talking about there should be another comming soon.
pinoy78 : Yea true though, even Revy said that his word are "the real bullet" after she beaten Gin. The girl's death was horrible, and I never expected her to kill herself in that way, instead of using the usual sepukku. Edge : The first series is 12 or 13 episodes, then the second series continue till 24th episode last year.
Cool show. Hopefully they continue on with the show. And if they decide to end it, at least have Rock hook up with Revy. Also, I thought the second series was weird. The Black Lagoon crew didn't seem like the "stars" of the show. Hell, Dutch didn't have any significant role and he's the captain of the boat.
I loved that show. I would do a Thugs MM homage character on CoV but none of the secondaries fit. They really need a natural theme compatible Buffing/Debuffing set.
Actually, traditionally women DID kill themselves that way. The typical 'slitting stomach' open thing was for guys. Women got to do it by stabbing themselves in the throat. I loved this series. I like using it to show how an 'evil' campaign can work. Just cause you're a bad guy doesnt mean you have to use every chance you get to backstab each other. You can even be borderline (if not completely) sociopathic and still work well with the party and have friends/companions.
I haven't compared it to any other groups, but I watched the ones from Shinsen-Subs. I haven't really got any complaints about them.
The wait for season three is KILLING me guys....KILLING me! ƒuƒ‰ƒbƒNƒ‰ƒO[ƒ“ ƒŒƒ”ƒB Š®¬•iƒtƒBƒMƒ…ƒAmƒWƒ…ƒ“ƒvƒ‰ƒ“ƒjƒ“ƒOns—\–ñ¤•i‚O‚RŒŽ””„t25“ƒIƒt‚ ‚Ý‚ ‚Ý–{“X
I watch Black Lagoon at my local anime society. Hot damn, it's so perfectly awesome sometimes. The one thing that impresses me about it in particular is how knowledgeable it is on Western culture, which you don't see all that often. Even the english sections, despite sounding garbled, do seem to make sense ("AMEN, HALLELUJAH, PEANUT BUTTER"). I am very much looking forward to season 3.
