I do dig it, but I think its a bit too 80s sounding to be used in the new movie. Not that Id prefer the official one either.

    yeah

    not bad

i didnt care for the beat they put on the chorus. and all the synthesizing. yeah... nice cover. but still too 80s.

on the other hand i really liked the editing they did to all the trailer footage. made a nice music video

    NOW THAT WAS AWESOME =O
Much better than those crappy other themes we've heard these past weeks.

It does sound a bit 90's, with the emo voice..

Okay, this is how you do a tribute song! It's too 80s? I call that ole skool goodness.

Seriously, kill the abortion of a Mutemouth song and go with this.... heck, any other song on their list, really.

Now THAT was frakking awesome. I don't care if it was too 80s; it would serve the movie very well, I think.

First off, I know someone is going to blast me because this is old news or something, but I've heard nothing about it, so it's new to me.

On the TFW front page, you see the embedded Youtube video with the new TV spot, but if you'll look on the bottom of the embed, there is a link to watch a video featuring a cover of the 1986 TF: TM theme by Black Lab. I'm not familiar with Black Lab's music, but this cover rocked. They took the dated old '86 track and modernized it, all without losing the original's flavor and scope.

    Check it out here.

Yeah I saw that too. If it's been posted before, it's new to me. It's actually pretty damn nice, and the video goes well with it.

Actually the song is really cool. I think it's funny that the poor bastards didn't have enough footage of the bots to fill some of the "Autobots Wage their Battle" lines, but they still did a good job.

Interesting. John Sykes vibe a bit. Kinda cool. I dig.

I have a feeling there are going to be a LOT of "new" theme covers coming out over the next few weeks. I've been working on one myself for about three weeks now, and know of at least two others that are currently in the works.

It's a good time to be a Transformers fan, that's for sure.

Definitely share, I'm up for any new music with the bots as the theme. I definitely dug this one.

A friend of mine just found the link and sent it to me a few minutes ago - it kicked all KINDS of ass! It rocks, it doesn't sound *too* dated... WHY can't they use something like this on the movie soundtrack instead of this current wimpy-styled crap?! Not to mention, the video edition was done very well, too. :D
