Walmart has been threatening all the deal websites with lawsuits if they post their ad ahead of time. It's out there though. Just Google for "wallybf.pdf".

Black Friday in the States is simply an annual orgy of consumerism involving humanity at its worst. I strongly empathize with anyone who has to work that cursed day. Youtube brings you all the proof you should need:

There are more but you get the point.

Honestly anyone with a woman should just use that day off to stay in, get loaded, and bone all day.

Beware! There will be old ladies out looting the stores that day that will cleave the flesh from your bones if they think its on sale for 20% off!

Having worked Black Friday in the past, don't expect to have fun. It seems like it would be an interesting thing to experience, but it's really pretty miserable. If you're at a bigger store like Best Buy or Wal-mart, you can expect people running full tilt through the store, shoving nearby customers out of the way, fist fights, robberies, people getting crushed against front doors and/or falling down and getting trampled and nobody stopping to help them, all for the reward of standing in a checkout line for two hours. It's pretty damn terrifying to witness. I don't know why anyone would ever want to participate, it's hands down the worst part of a consumer driven culture I've ever seen first hand. People are BRUTAL. Whatever you do, don't expect it to be cute or fun or pleasant or even really all that exciting. The anticipation of sitting outside in line might be, but once the doors open it's AWFUL.

Having said that, I do like to head out around 11 am or so occasionally. I probably do it once every 2 or 3 years. I'm not about to brave the crush of early bird openings, but I can usually still find something or other leftover later in the day that is still a pretty good deal.

Hey, I'll actually be in that area to. What I actually do is go to a 24 hour Walmart at around 10 on Thursday, and wait until midnight when they allow the deals to start. Also, near that Walmart, there is a outlet shopping mall with some insane sales, including a gap or Sony store. It may be far for you, but the place I will be at is in Marysville on I-5 near the Quilceda casino.

Wow KD. I've never experienced that. I mean, it's crazy where I work, but we've never had violence or physical assaults. Then again we have pretty much ALL HANDS ON DECK on Black Friday to keep it as smooth as possible.

I have seen some violence. I was working at a best buy like 2 years ago and these 2 women got into over a computer. 1 woman shoved the other and fists started flying. Had to take them both to jail but it got me out of that dam store for an hour or so.

Like hell am I going out on Black Friday unless I have NO OTHER CHOICE! I tried going to Best Buy that day several years ago for something and it was practically shoulder-to-shoulder in the store and took an HOUR to get in and OUT of the store.

I do plan on going out on Saturday with some friends to K-Mart to pickup some items, though, and hope it isn't too busy that day.

I'm sorely tempted to hit K-Mart for the DS Zelda bundle. I'd have to leave early though, but it's not as if anyone ever shops at any K-Mart I go to anyway.

For real. Beware of the accursed Wal-martians and their +20 electro carts of knee-cap slaying. I think they can be considered armed and dangerous.

Thanx for the advice! However, we (fiance, sister, sister's friend, and I) are set to go this Thursday evening to line up before midnight. I'll bring my digital camera to record the action, if any! In Canada, we DON'T have "Black Friday", but we do have "Boxing Day". It's Canada's equivalent to the American "Black Friday". I have watched a few Youtube videos about the fights, shoppers getting crushed, etc. We'll be careful! Thanx!

Thanx! We plan to go there! I didn't know that the Walmart opened 24 hours! That will be useful to know. Wish me luck!

It is. Imagine the WWF Royal Rumble when all 40 people are in the ring at the same time. Take that and multiply it by the size of a WalMart. Then add shopping carts and electronics.

As for me, apparently I am going out. My wife basically told me to go out so I can get her House MD season 3 for $14.99 at Best Buy, So I guess I'll be getting up ass early to go. And since the WM that supposedly is putting Starscream out that day is across the street, I might as well just kill em both and see if I can score a few MP SS for kitbashing reasons as well as other board members.
