Okay, Last year we had a man trampled to death and people ignoring it while shopping at a Walmart.

Walmart has announced changes to make the sales safer and more tolerable such as longer hours that day, and allowing lines to form inside the store.

    yay.

So whom among you are still undaunted by Black Friday and willing to fight the hordes to grab those extra savings? and how do you prepare for battle- i mean what do you do to make it easier for you to shop?

also, share horror stories from Black Fridays past.

Naw. The best way to get extra savings is to not spend your money.

Sad that one man died last year in exchanged for people who want to say $100 or less. If I was in that crowd, I'll be throwing 'bows to save that man.

Black Friday is one of the reasons I'm glad I'm no longer living in the USA. Leave it to America to celebrate consumerism...

I like to go out and explore on Black Friday, but I usually wait until a few hours after all the sales begin. By then, the doorbusters have been cleared out and it's not quite so busy, but there's still some good stuff to be found.

So Canadians have collectively given up on Boxing Day sales since I left the country? Because I grew up in Canada, and the Boxing Day sales were just as bad as Black Friday is down here. Hell, by the time I left to move down here, Boxing "Day" had expanded to consume most of the week between Christmas and New Year's Day. Yep, they sure don't celebrate the consumerism at all in Canada...

I love Black Friday! I've been going for the last 4 or 5 years now and it just gets more fun as the years go by! I don't even typically get any of the doorbuster deals, it's just kind of interesting for me to be in the middle of the chaos and join in the grand consumerism! :D

Um, you do realize that by collecting toys (or anything for that matter) you celebrate consumerism with every purchase.

And I've beat the Black Friday madness for years by buying early and getting a price adjustment that day.

I'm going to buy my stuff early, then on black friday just take the receipts to the customer service section and get a refund for the difference since it went on sale within 30 days.

    Edit: Yeah, like this:

these days are usually not even worth it for the lines and crazy ass ppl who got up ass early and probably all hopped up on 50 cups of coffee.

might be even worse with the way the economy has been, ppl have probably been waiting for this day.

The thing to do is right before you go to bed eat a whole can of beans, olives, eggs, and steak, then in the morning hope that you're the first in line. Just let one rip as the doors are about to open, that should give you a good 5 second head start, I would love to see somone do that. But in all seriousness there's no point to black friday, it's just so you can save a couple extra bucks, when if you were smart you would have been buying the stuff you wanted for your family earlier in the year

I'd rather spend the money I'd save to avoid the hassle.

I don't go anywhere on Black Friday. I can't stand the crowds and traffic.
