I agree. Then I saw the $128 BluRay player in WalMart's ad. I'm staying up all night and heading in at about 4a.m.
you found it already, great. im in the process of opening 2 extra paypal accounts. i'll be splurging come 6am est.
No deals have struck me at all,it's almost 3am here and I'm about to go to bed. I went out last year in search of TFs and came back with a shit load of Star Wars figures instead, made out like a bandit though.
There is no way that I'm getting out there to fight the crowd and traffic. But I might go to Walmart later on. I will wait until Monday to see if they receive more TF's.
Black Friday @ TRU TRU online is offering $25 of of $50 dollar purchase if you use PAYPAL. Slickdeals.net
There has been some limited discussion over in the dedicated coupon thread and in the Black Friday thread. Nice deal, but apparently Paypal isn't working currently.
Just got back from TrU and Wal Mart. Ugh. Holiday spirit, my ass. I was expecting some madness, but I do it for the experience (and the possibility of seeing random violence). Waited in line at TrU for about an hour-and-a-half. Not really after anything but new TF's or Bakugan for my daughter. At 0500 the doors opened, and a bunch of people from the parking lot that just got there pushed into the line and through the doors. Almost caused a fist fight with some of the people who were there longer than me. I just giggled and egged them on. No big deal, as far as I was concerned. Gads, I love the lack of humanity people exhibit for minimal to good sale prices. Anyway, no new TF's at all, and no deals besides the crappy SW M.Falcon they had stacked to the ceiling (with almost no buyers). On to Wal Mart. It...was...a...madhouse. No organization to the checkouts whatsoever, and products thrown and scattered everywhere. The fools and idiots were even worse there than at TrU. Especially in the electronics section. People were pushing and shoving with carts, knocking stuff down, being general animals. Ahh, humanity at its finest. Once again, no new TF's at all. In fact, even more shelf warmers than the last time I was there. I was going to get a few things for presents, but the checkout lines prevented me from even considering it. I would have stuck around if there were new TF's to buy, but alas, disappointed again. Next time I'm taking a tazer.
I went to Walmart this morning, it was busy, but not hostile crazy. -_-' I managed to get a $2 copy of TMNT, but that's nothing too exciting.
Went to Walmart today also, got there little before five and all the people where standing next to the sale items with employees guarding the items. No new TF's but I did however find animated Blitzwing on the top shelf, going to use it as a gift. Almost saw some ladies fight over tubberware. Electronics was packed to where you couldn't even get in the general area. Was about to escape the madness and then the clock hit five and people went crazy. Was close to the registers so I made out ok. Then I went to target and people where standing outside so I just went home and went to bed.
This doesnt suprise me, having worked 2 black fridays at Tru we never got any new tf's on black friday.
There was a Michael's "50% off one item" for Fri. & Sat. in the paper we get around here. I was thinking I'd pick up the Badger Anthem airbrush which would only be $65 or $66 bucks.
Gotta admit- this years "Black Friday" disapointed me. No new TF's- and I thought that Target was going to have a big Universe exclusive pack to boot. But no. The stuff I got out of bed for were sold out already- and I was there when the store opened. The retailers put stuff in the ads, but only stock a ridiculously small supply. I went to Game Crazy, was #4 in line for a 360 / Guitar Hero bundle- but they only had 3. Thankfully, this is only the beginning of the season, and not the end.
At the TrU I went to, they were walking around outside about 30 minutes before the store opened with reserve tickets for a PS3 bundle, XBox360GuitarHero bundle, some iPod, a PSP and a few other things. Apparently, they had about 20 of each item. If I was after any of those it would have been a good deal and made waiting in line worth it. As it was, I snagged an exclusive Bakugan set for my daughter. Figured to get it now or I'd never see it again.
PS2 bundle not PS3. P.S. big lots has universe/classics 2pk prime/megs for 15 this week(not the dvd version)
really disappointing, no new Universe figs (Cyclonus, Hound) No new animated (Shockwave, Swindle, Jetfire/Jetstorm) just nothin new..
Quite a let down, this year... strange there wasn't more Black Friday TF action going on with the franchise being on fire like it has been this last year... The closest thing to a feature was the Target endcap, which most of my Targets still haven't set up yet.
No Cyber Monday deals at TaosToys this year. I was hoping they'd have MP Thundercracker for $60 like they had Skywarp for last year.
