Quick question on this figure, is the 25th anniversary lettering on this figure painted on or are they stickers?

Looking at picking this up but will probably have to pass if it has all this 25th anniversary stuff permanently plastered all over it.

Yeah, I feel your pain, man, I was looking into the VF-1s 25th, sweet as all heck in those colors, but the damn logo should be optional.

What kills me is on every other Japanese toy they pretty much give it to you bear bones and you have to apply, build, or paint everything yourself, shame this has to be one of those exceptions.

    Dear Soundwave.ca,

The Toyark forum already has a Macross/Robotech thread in progress. Please use that resource instead of cluttering up the forum.

Don't listen to Canada. They're a bunch of moose loving jerks.

It really is a pity about the anniversary YF-19, because other than the absolutely awful script lettering, it's fairly slick looking. My own experience with the toy was pretty bad though, as when I got it, the joints were shit and it smelled of smoke. That went back to the store and I didn't pick up another, opting to hunt down a V1 YF-19 instead.

    One thing to note:
Mr. Color Thinner is like the perfect thinner for removing pad-printed/tampo'd lettering without effecting the underlying paint. if you get some of that, dab some on the lettering, let it sit about 60 seconds, then scrub with a Q tip, it should lift right off. I do that with lettering and number printings on model trains and it's near foolproof.

Not a fan of that mold, but it looks sweet in those colors. I sold all my macross stuff, but I am really tempted on reacquiring the Ivanov...

Yamato's YF-19 would be ten flavors of awesome if it wasn't made from eggshells and paper mache.

Relatively speaking, I mean. I recommend the original paintjob version as a display piece. Any other version or for any other purpose, I have major caveats due to fragility and fiddle-ability.

This is all just misdirection, of course.

I miss nothing. Silly canada. Go back to the land of Engles! Or France, if you're from Quebec.

Totally kidding. I lub canadiards, even though they aren't real americans. That's also a joke, because they hate being excluded from the "american" label. Oh man. failure all around, tonight.

    Crap. Gotta be on-topic.

The 25th anniversary YF-19's landing gear, despite being "fixed" really don't cant out that much more than the standard YF-19. None of Yamato's YF-19's have landing gear that cant out far enough.
