I have acquired 2 BiS Rodimus' recently. I noticed that both of them have issues with the left arm. This is the arm that has the saw attachment in it.

The ball joint on the left arm of the 1st Rodimus is two small and the arm pops out of the socket easily.

On the 2nd one, the ball joint on the left arm is too big for the socket and the arm pops off easily.

I have tried switching them but, problem still exists.

For all of you Radicons out there, what can be done about this problem? I know I can use some clear nail polish or some masking tape on the one that's too small but, what about the ball joint that's too big for the arm socket?

Also, for those of you who own this version of rodimus from this set, how widespread is this problem? Does yours have this issue too?

    THANKS for posting!!

Regarding the larger ball joint...do you have a dremel handy?

Use some medium roughness sandpaper and give the ball a good scrubbing until it fits? That's what I'd do.

No dremel....I'll try the sandpaper. Neither of the arms on both Rodimus' will "click" into place.

I removed the right arms and put them back on and each time you can hear and feel a "click" when it goes back in.

Make sure to sand the ball evenly all around.

If you had a dremel, I would've recommended using a diamond ball burr:

A dremel is a solid investment for collectors. You don't have to be a customizer to have one. Sometimes, things happen to figures in your collection and you need tools to fix them.

For the smaller joint use the time tested clear nail polish trick.

I have yet to open my BIS pack, however my original classics Rodimus doesn't have that issue.

I have issues with it too. The arm with the saw is sooo loose it pops out really easy. A little bit of nail polish fixes that right up.

I suppose I'm fortunate and say that mine has no apparent problems. The arm has popped out twice, but it was more due to me being a bit rough with the transformation than any kind of problems. Posing it(hahahahaha!) doesn't pop out the arm for my case. Sucks to hear about this problem though!

I have the C@C version and it's pretty tight all around.

I also had an issue with that arm. I had a bit of plastic left on the ball joint where it attached to the mold. So I took a nail file and sanded it down. Once it was a pretty good sphere I found the arm was too loose so I used some super glue to tighten it up. Works perfectly now.

I have the same problem with the left arm. It pops off everytime I transform Hot Rod into bot mode.

The left arm on mine pops out every so often too. Not a big deal, as it doesn't do it every time I fiddle with it, but its certainly noticable. I wouldn't say its a flaw though, as once I get it in there it's nice and tight.

sandpaper and nail polish should be all you need for those problems.
and as it has been said, they can even be used to fix a problem created by the other.

same thing with my BiS Roddy. But I'm not bothered, seeing as I'm only gonna make him look much worse.

I actually have that problem with the 1st set I bought, the arm with the saw thing would pop off when transforming to robot mode. When I bought the 2nd set, Roddy was fine. I don't find that an issue for me nor it bugs me at all.
