Yeah, I know how it works on the set. Just trying to figure out if it could have any other uses or if it could somehow fit on a different piece in some way... Like a wheel or tire or some other circular thing.
I'm just not used to Lego pieces that don't connect to anything.

I'm finally got off my lazy ass, and took pictures of my mods to the Uniter Toa. Anyways, the main goal of my mods were: Use only CCBS parts for their limbs and to keep the piece of unity on their backs.

To start things off, here's Tahu:

    Weapon
Basically, I wanted Tahu to resemble the way I modded his Master form (no pics available), which was rather plain looking, so I had added some parts to his back to give resemblance to his official Master form.

Note: the back's of the other Toa look the same as Tahu's, minus the blade wings parts.

    Next up is Gali:
    Weapon
I wanted her to have a slimmer build compare to her brethren, so I gave her a narrower shoulder span.

    Now here's Lewa:

    Shoulder Pad Build
Lewa's is my favorite. I added lime-green shells to break up the silver/bright green color scheme the official build had, I also gave him trans bright green bones, just like the other Toa. The shoulder pads were a eureka moment for me, I went though several chunky methods before coming up with the current design. The yellow are there because the official set used them :p .

    Here's Pohatu:
Nothing much to said about Pohatu, he is mostly the official build with more dark tan, different shoulders, and a slighty alter weapon.

    Onua:
Back, since his is build differently.
    Weapon
Onua is the only one to use the Uniter torso, and that was to keep him "taller" than the other Toa. His shoulders are wider than the others to give the impression of bulk, same goes to adding the crystal armor to his arms, the torso shell on his back, and the 2015 armor addon to his shoulders and legs.

    Finally, Kopaka:
I pretty much replaced all gold on him to silver, somewhat copied Ekimu's shield, and gave him Lewa's shoulder build (except using this piece instead of this one). Sword is the official build.

This is the torso build they use:

I'll give credit to @SPLIT LIP for giving me the idea to build off this torso and the neck design.

While I'm at it, here are some extras:

    2016 Ekimu:
    Weapon
I used the same torso build as the Toa, and made his hammer look slimmer. I used silver feet instead of gold to mirror his Protector form's foot color.

    Protector Makuta:
    Back
    Weapon
Based him on Ekimu's build instead of the JTO design. Also showing off my Protector torso build.

    "Shadow Titan" Makuta:

    Hand
    Leg
My version of Makuta after putting on the Mask of Ultimate Power, and my entry for the 2016 Makuta Contest. This model originally started out as a G2-style G1 Makuta/Teridax, until the news of G2's premature end, which I changed some parts to make the above model. The mask use is this one from shapeways, using the "Black strong and flexible" material.

Damn, that's a really good Titan Makuta. The Toa are all great as well. Lewa/Kopaka's shoulder pads are pretty damn genius, honestly.

I was reading Brickset's review of the Ninjago Docks when:

What a nice reminder of the one mask we never got.
    Sigh.

While it's a nice easter egg, I wish Lego didn't use the one mask we didn't (officially) get.

I have no idea if I should find this neat, or for a lack of a better term...... insulting. I didn't hate Lego as a company, but the way they handled both Hero Factory and the Bionicle reboot is.... ugh.

I've come to kinda resent Lego as a company lately. They have this facade as this wholesome company yet are just as business-oriented and unfeeling as any other company. Maybe that's more the Lego fandom being somewhat snobbish and perpetuating that idea, but Lego doesn't really give a shit about fans. Be they fans of Lego itself, or especially fans of the individual properties.

Nope. Bonicle's still dead. There was some MOCing going on a few pages back but it petered out pretty quick.

Sadly, I don't expect them to do any given that they seem to be cutting the SW figures after the Solo wave.
