    I'm really upset that he either isn't a 'scientist' or has his logical side downplayed in the movie. At least according to the bio. Shockwave is one of the main characters I identified with so I'm kinda concerned that they're just going to turn him into a silent, hulking powerhouse. He was always interesting to me because he was extremely powerful but he never flaunted it and only used it when it was the 'logical' course of action.

    I love the characterization. Sounds like they may nail this one (Shocky) for Bayverse.

    Was Shockwave ever a scientist pre-Dreamwave?

    Also, it's a bio. Shockwave is one of the main villains of the movie, not "Decepticon Wheeljack." It would be like if one of OP's bios emphasized his spelling proficiency.

    I SO badly hope Shockie is half as cool in the movie as the buildup is making him sound.

    Yeah I'm kind of annoyed by all the recent "Shockwave does experiments on people for science!" stuff. Yeah, he's the brainiest Decepticon, so I guess he could be the equivalent to Perceptor, but his function is "Military Operations Commander." Just cos he's a "walking computer" doesn't mean he has to be GLaDOS

    I thought he was always a scientist, ever since the G1 episode with the first Space Bridge. I figured he designed it while Megatron was gone.

    I love the fact that they used the word "brutal" in Shockwave's bio: Brutal was Shockwave's dubbed name in the Italian version of the G1 series...

    is it just me, or does that action pose of the figure just scream "Shockwave frolicking in a field of daisies"?
