Cool. Any plans on painting Skids as, well, Skids?

nicely painted. I'd suggest you do a face-swap or modify that head to make it look more ******ed though. :)

You need some sort of head swap. Until then it'll be an off color ironhide.

I like it, but I agree a head swap is in order. I'd suggest doing some things to make your own

I have a ROTF Skids that i will post some pictures of later,i agree with what you say about the headswap but i am quite new to kitbashing and unless i just take the head off a movie Skids/Mudflap which i may do if i can get hold of a couple of cheap figures, but i dont seem to be able to find any at a reasonable price,i can only see them on ebay and the prices are too much at the moment,i did order a skids from play.com at a good price but nearly three weeks later and it has not arrived yet,i have also looked in Toys'r'us and all of my local supermarkets but i just cant find any,but i will keep looking.Watch this space!!!

I'd recommend a FAB Mudflap head for this custom. As far as you just starting out, this is why we have such an extensive tutorials section! Read up and get to work :thumb

Glad to help, buddy :thumb  I think you're off to a stellar start as an artist here :)  One of the greatest helps you'll have here is interacting with those who take the time to post their thoughts (presuming they're considerate, constructive, and well thought out, but we have things to ensure that the best way we can). Sometimes, there are people who, despite their best efforts, tend to come across as negative, but often I've found people are just trying to help. As for the Radicons Staff, we greatly value each person's artwork, no matter the skill level, but also want to continually push people to do more than they expect out of themselves :)

managed to get hold of a deluxe Skids, from my local TRU,so i've "borrowed" his head,i've painted it up and looks pretty good,if only i little small, will post some pix later,i see what you mean about using the FAB head,i've also been reading up on some of the tutorials and as a result i'm gonna pop out later and see if i can pick up some of this Future Floor Finish that everyone is raving about, think its called Pledge Floor Finish over here,i also wanna get some isoprophylactic(?) alcohol stuff for cleaning the parts off,i usually just stick them all in a plastic jar with water and some washing up liquid, and give it a good shake up:D

Interesting. Yeah, I suggested the FAB simply because the head is bigger and better suited for this size.

Pledge bought Future floor polish, so that's the reason for the name change.

As far as using alcohol, know that when most of us are reporting we use it, it's for removing paint only, not simply cleaning a figure. I use warm, soapy dishwater for cleaning toys as well. :thumb

I agree he needs something. The paint looks great but this just isn't doing it for me.

    Crabeg,
wtf are you doing, now you're spreading the horrible twins affliction to a perfect line like Alternators???!

    No seriously mate,
you've done an excellent job representing the two misfits, it's just that I hate their gremlin faces so much!! :lol
