So, here's my second conversion using A&L's amazing BT Hummer KO, Onslaught!

Pretty simple head mod and repaint really. The head started out as the H3's orignal head, with new styrene mouthplate, visor and side head panels.

The cannons are two of the goofy bazooka weapons the H3 came with, handles and scopes removed. They're attached to the center piece belonging to one of the Energon combiner tanks, then the entire peice is screwed onto the roof. The assembly has 360 degree rotation, and each cannon has full, independant elevation; they can also swing over his shoulders is bot mode. The hand gun is the orginal G1 with a new handle

The camo was achieved by simply cutting out patterns in masking tape and masking off the already black body. Onslaught was painted in Tamiya Metallic Blue, Olive Drab, Metallic Grey, and semi-gloss black for the thighs.

That mold works exceedingly well as Onslaught, although the Con logo on the crotch is a bit odd to me, but that's personal opinion.

Nice job, I really like the head. The cammo looks cool too. A bit off topic, but what did you use for Swindles turret gun? I've been looking for one myself.

I'd like to see a different application of that camo (it looks a bit out of place and unrealistic, imo). Also, I'd recommend Dremeling the cannon barrels for a barrel cavity. Aside from that, this is awesome, bud. I absolutely LOVE the work on the head, and also how the cannons look when in robot mode. Overall, this is another great one from ya :thumb

Another awesome custom man! Really like what you've done here. I would have never thought to do an Onslaught from the existing alt/bt line-up but the KO Hummer is a great fit! I like the camo and how you made it but I agree with SQ7, it's a bit out of place. I think it works decently but I'd like to see more of it or possibly smaller bits with a lot more of it

It came from the orginal Master Grade Char's Zaku kit

Yeah...I wasn't quite sure how the camo was gonna come out, this was my first time doing it. The problem is, I wanted Onslaught to still be mostly blue, so I didn't want to go too overboard. And I was basing it off the original G1 toy, which also was a bit sparse on the camo. However after I peeled the tape off, I did think I could have added some more small spots to give it more uniformity.

What I would suggest for camo is doing a Google search on military Hummers for a project like this, especially with it being a BT.

You did a really nice job here! I love that shade of blue, but I agree about the camo. The cannons and head are superb too. You really made this guy scream Onslaught!

China. It has only been around for I'd say 2-4 months not sure exactly. I know we have a few board members that sell/live over there that can hook it up.

Jarrod - yeah I'm not harping on the camo because I think it looks good, just trying to be constructive. I really love seeing new BT/Alt customs especially at your level of skill and care that you bring to your customs. :thumb
