Yet another one of my Metals Transform toy modifications, Binal Tech Fastlane does send a homage back to his G1 counterpart with the same name (and I have no plans for Cloudraker of any sort at this time).

While I know that the G1 Fastlane is clearly red, this bot is actually a red-orange. With my Alternators Seekers (with the addition of Binal Tech Phantom, brining my count up to 8), I felt that my Autobot Impreza ranks needed a bit of a boost :)  Cliffjumper has been done before (and I still want to make a scratchbuild of CJ and BB from the original BT designs), so I decided to go down the road less traveled yet again with this guy.

My modifications to this guy are mainly to the head. I used a Meister head that I dramatically altered to accommodate Fastlane as well as dinstictly distinguish his head from that of Meister's. I also added the faction symbols to his shoulders and his gun.

    Here he is:

    and closeups of the head:

    Enjoy!

Another good one. I was actually hoping to see this red buru soon. I didn't realize it was an orange red.

This actually gived me an idea about my next custom :D

I actually bought them several months ago from an online store named "Kenscollections." He has posted on ebay some, but had his own store; I don't think he's around anymore though (though you're welcome to use Google and/or ebay to see  ) :)

    Thanks for the props man!

I'm glad to have inadvertently helped you out with your own work too. :)  Unless you're being deliberate about it, I don't think your CJ will have the slight orange tint to the shell that Binal Tech Fastlane here does

You've made me a happy and proud kitbasher to hear that :)  Thanks for the props, man :thumb

I've really been enjoying modifying heads to my pieces the last few months. It has become one of my favorite areas to work on. While I'm no Sculpt-bot, I can see why he has so much fun making heads! :)

Glad to oblige man :)  When I was shopping (and saving) for these guys, I was a bit skeptical about having another red Impreza, since my Alternators Thrust is red as well. This is another reason why I wanted to make this guy an Autobot.

I hope my photos did these toys some justice, but the "red-orange" color isn't that pronounced. There is a hint of orange in the hue of the color, but it's also a lighter shade of red. Mainly, it's not a true red. This toy has received some negative criticism for that, but that's actually one of the main reasons I like it so much! :)

I'm glad my work has inspired you to create new ideas for your future work as well! Keep up the great work, buddy :thumb

Thanks for the props, but I'm not worthy! I give my God the thanks for blessing me with the talent to create customs and the blessings of the opportunities to share my work with all of you guys. :)

I appreciate your support and thanks for posting! :D

I've been [trying] to have more fun with my photos as of late. With the Metals Transform galleries, I found myself doing things like this a bit. Once I started the photo edits in Photoshop (just for color tweaks and crops mind you), I found myself being a little more dramatic with my cropping and such. This photo was one of the results from that (to see the others, click on the link in my initial posts of each custom! [just click the animated "MORE PHOTOS HERE" .gif!])

Thanks again for the props, bro; I always appreciate it! :)

Thanks for the kind words buddy! I really appreciate your feedback with all of my work; it's very encouraging and inspiring!

Yeah, just see my above comments concerning the color (*psst* it RAWKS! :) )

When I was creating this guy, I thought about how to incorporate his twin. I've since scrapped the idea, but you never know what will come along :)

As for the Decepticon clones, I've given it thought from time to time, so we'll just have to wait and see :)

I'm glad you like ol' Fastlane here :)

I wasn't familiar with Fastlane so had to look him up. Now that I know, you did a very nice job with the head.

I think I've already answered your questions  :

As of right now, the answer is "no." Am I open to the idea? Sure. We'll see what happens. For now, I'm moving on.

Well, aren't you a sight for sore eyes? :D  Thanks for the props man! I really appreciate you posting :thumb

You could easily do a sort-of Pounce from a Ravage Jag though it would be a bit redundant.

Well since im hoping to go for a tuner/rally car look with decals all over the place and some custom graphics, seeing yours was good to see as ive never seen the subaru mold before with those kinds of race car/rally car designs over it before, not in red anyway. So your work just proves to me that kind of design can work really well on the mold which takes some of the pressure and worry off of me. lol

I'll be using a deeper red though. :p

Yeah, I agree that it would be redundant. I've still got the Jag on my "to-do" list, so we'll see what happens with that mold :)

Yeah, I think this is one of the reasons I stick to realism most of the time as well. That and the fact that hyper-realistic alt modes are part of what is indicative to the Alt/BT line. The sponsors themselves may be "generic", but the deco design is not.

Hey man, thanks for the props!

. . . and if Lognarm approves, I guess I did pretty well, eh? :D
