Was reading the thread about biggest regrets as far as purchases go... and it got me thinking about the MOUNTAIN (15-20) of G2 Megatrons at my local KB Toy that I walked away from in 1995, even though they were $4.95 a piece.

I also am really mad that I didn't get a Supreme Starscream when they were 22 bucks at Target, because I wanted it for 16 bucks like I read someone of TFW got it for. I'm still waiting for him to drop at TRU. Dumb ass!

The unreleased Universe figures (Spacewarp, Smokescreen, grey Cheetor, the Seacons & Target Megatron) back when I decided that it would be crazy to buy these at 3-4 times retail when they'd just be on the shelves in another month or so... :cry

In this case I REGRET NOTHING!

Any TF I've wanted badly enough to get up off my ass and buy, I have bought.

Pretty much all of Beast Wars ( including many of Takara's BW2 and Neo). At the time it didn't interest me all that much. My feelings haven't really changed about BW, it's just there is such a huge whole in my TF collection now.

When I first entered the "adult collecting fold" around Summer 1998, I was kicking myself for not haveing done it a year earlier, when I could have gotten all six Cyberjets, the Autorollers, and the Laser Cycles for cheap at any KB Outlet.

Machine Wars Megatron and Starscream two-pack. Was only released in very limied numbers in the test market. Just so happens this is one. Didn't get it because I had just gotten Smokescreen and Dreadwing a few weeks prior.

Alt Swerve and Decepticharge. Saw the former during my "I'm not buying Alts because I never saw Tracks and Meister" phase. The latter, I didn't feel like spending $20 the first time I saw him, and the second time I bought Shockwave instead since I figured "older = less likely to find again". I felt like kicking myself when I saw at least 10 Shockwaves a few weeks later at TRU. Though I don't regret not buying Swerve as much as Decepticharge.

Kinda regret not importing the Rambles when they were released, but A: I couldn't really afford them at the time, and B: I was waiting for Hasbro to announce which color(s) they would release.

Hmm... TFE Prowl and Starscream SAM'S Club exclusive two-pack. I saw them a couple of times at my local SAM'S Club, but I never picked one up because they had plenty of them until I actually tried to pick one up. :banghead:

Energon Ultra Magnus. There were 3 of them on the shelf at my local Target for about a month right at the beginning of Energon. I already had Overload, so I didn't even consider it.

Once I found out how rare they were I went back to grab one but....

The Beast Wars stuff. I bought the original Dinobot back in 95 but I was one of the "ZOMG! Tranzfourmehrz are Carhrz, not monkiez!!" people when Beast Wars was first released...I still bought X-Men stuff so I'd see the BW toys all the time...and I passed every single one of them up. Now I'm paying for it by getting them off ebay:(

No question two come to mind:

TFC #0 when they first came out.

Alt. Swerve when they were ~$30 on Ebay.

I dunno, probably a tie between Hasbro CS Ultra Magnus or CS Powermaster OP w/ Apex Armor. Missed both of those and now I can't find a good price on UM, and don't know where to look for Powermaster OP.

Once, when I was just a little lad, I saw TRU had 3 Fortress Maximus'. While this isn't really a regret of a TF I did not but, it's more of a regret of a TF I couldn't buy. :cry

Most Likely, a MiSB Universe Ramjet with Mini-cons, back at Collectormania 8, In late last year (Before I joined the forum), for only £15, but as I had only seen him at BWTF I had no idea he was rare, so passed on him, also, Cyb Red Alert for £11.50, and Energon Landquake for £10 at the same event.
