The Unicron Hasbro has brought out (again, and again, and again with different colours and heads) is a decent size. But lets face it; he's supposed to be a frickin planet!

My Fansproject Bruticus is about the height of him, my deluxe figures about half the size if not a tad bigger than that, and my Universe Hardhead is looking up his nose.

Anyone else think that the chaos bringer, the demi god himself (who, once again, is in most canon the size of a damn planet) should be bigger than a combiner? Not like its not been done before, as Hasbro brought out a Fortress Maximus that was nearly twice as big as Unicron why not bring out a unicron that big?

Would be nice, its all i'm saying. lol.

P.S, Image of Big Max surrounded by the "bigger" transformers, look whos a head and shoulders bigger. lol

no, its already hard enough for hasbro to sell unicron as it is, a bigger one would just fail at retail really

Honestly, big toys don't sell because of the higher cost, and the bigger they get, the more things like weight and drop tests start to limit things. Fort Max could not be reissued for the US because of the drop test, I am certain a larger Unicron would have issues as well. If not that, then the size would make him too heavy on the legs for many poses.

If not that, then he'd sell poorly for the price. Especially in this age of shrinking toy sizes, and fewer larger toys.

What we have now is a good compromise of size and affordability.

These 'It's not as good as it used to be' threads aren't as good as they used to be.

I'm interested to know what size you'd want a tranforming planet to be...:p

Bigger isn't always better. The unicron we have out now is just fine. Now maybe a new primus? That may be cool.

Good luck with that. As Sol Fury said, it'll probably never happen.

I'm just hoping for a new Unicron. Can't wait to see the Prime version and hopefully a new toy. Whatever the size class he ends up being.

And where exactly am I supposed to display this wishful, larger Unicron? I have a hard enough time trying to figure out how I'm going to put the 2010 Unicron in my display.

Try finding a creative solution to work with the size of the toy. I'll use what I do for Skyfire as an example: People complain that Henkei Skyfire/Classics Jetfire is a bit short for his character. And I agree. Solution: display him around Legends Brawn and Beachcomber in the back corner of my shelf to imply scale.

Work with the toys instead of complaining against them.

    Damn, that's a great idea.

I'm not a scale fiend for my displays, but I'm going to do that now because it's a jsut plain good idea.

    Another Unicron?! Bigger??? What for?

IF they did make one I'd like to see one no bigger then Fort Max. But he'd have to be super articulated, have to turn into a spherical planet, super detailed, and he'd have to have a kick ass bot mode.

That or, to quote another tfw member, be the size of Europe or GTFO..

No. The toy is big enough already, I don't care for the price. Making it any bigger would render it unnecessarily impossible to manipulate.
I also think that the one we have is already good and accurate enough, and don't feel the need for a new one whatsoever.
They better put that effort into making new dinobots, or updated versions of G1 combiners.

Unless it was a new mold, like a true Masterpiece, then no. Like someone said, it would fail to sell except for collectors.

Just display it with Legends and WSTs.

Or do a forced perspective setup where you can imagine he's way off in the background.

maybe it could be sold like marvel toys. in pieces. it'll help boost sales on the peg warmers too. maybe not unicron but combiners.

Well Hasbro did release a gigantic At-At and Falcon for Starwars, and they stated that they were pleased with the sales they got from those two items. Why cant a giant Transformer not sell?
