I have lost my ability to send messages on myspace. If I message somebody, it goes in my sent folder and stays as sent, and the person on the recieving end never sees that message, like I never sent it. And then, if someone has their comment setting to where they have to approve the comment first, they never see my comment because the approval is through a message, and since I can't send messages... I tried sending myself things too, of course it never gets recieved, but a few times when I've gone to my sent folder, there's a big red X as my profile picture and it says deleted across it. Yet my profile still exists, I can still recieve comments and send non-approval needed comments. I can make blogs and send bulletins, just the message stuff is messed up. I've tried messaging the Myspace Technical people, but, y'know, I can't send messages... I did a google search and found a forum full of people complaining about the samw thing, and some of them say that it's been about 6 weeks snf they haven't been able to send messages. It's been 3 days for me. Has anyone else at all had this problem? I'd really hate to have to delete my profile and make a new one again.
I dont have that problem with sending messages. In my case, I keep having to try to send it again because Myspace conveniently has an error....
I had a similar issue--I emailed their customer service types about it using a seperate email account, and was told that it was a temporary issue. It eventually corrected itself, although it seems like it was a least a month between when I first noticed it and when it stopped happening. If MySpace is a key communication tool for you, you might consider creating an alternate account in the interim--just link to whoever you want to send messages to through your original account.
My problem with MySpace is that I have my login saved on this computer, but I tried logging in on my other two and I can't remember my password. I tried multiple times to use the "Forgot password" schtick but it never works. It's a miracle that MySpace even functions as it does.
Myspace is one of the buggiest POS sites I've ever used. Nothing ever really seems to work properly, or at all.
This happens all the time with myspace. Its so laggy and with all the people in thw world that use it except for the 2 guys at the top of this thread you would think they would have a reliable server. They should've sent you a message about this issue.
I have been considering this. Myspace is how I communicate with a lot of family and friends, and without it, I can't really communicate with any of them. It's also been very essential in reuniting me with old friends I never thought I'd speak to again, and it's how I came across the awesome photographer for my wedding. I will probably just end up starting over with a new page, which sucks.
That makes no sense at all. A message board, which is used to discuss things with a ton of people is way different than having a profile page which allows you to e-mail friends and look up friends. If I felt that Myspace was taking over my need for a message board, I would not be on the 2005 boards.
