Bastard has 50 MISB animated Sunstorms/Shockwaves. He obviously didn't buy them to resell, so what's the point?

Maybe he got them when Target had that snafu with them at $4.99 each, and planned on using them for trading/selling fodder

Did you see how many Classics Primes and Megatrons he had?!?

I don't think insane starts to describe this. Words that come to mind right off the bat, independently wealthy!

I flipped through most of these pictures, and it is amazing if true

although the price is very high, I don't believe he is overselling it a lot. He has a BOAT LOAD of sealed transformers and other stuff and he is easily over $150,000 without even calculating them.

Looks more like a hoarder than a collector...
And we all know he'll never come close to getting that price.

I wonder if he realizes that he pretty much killed the value of all those gundam models by building them. They are quite literally worthless now to anyone who would really want to buy a gundam model. You'd just have to hope he did a good job on them, and didnt just tear the pieces off the sprues with his hands, or panel line them with sharpies or some other stupid thing. only pro-modellers/painters have any business selling the kits they built.

What's wrong with panel lining with sharpies? A clean black line is a clean black line.

a clean black line isnt something you get from sharpies. a thick (relatively speaking), unevenly coated dark purple line that will fade and get even more purple-er over time is what you get from sharpies. not to mention it's a bitch to clean up the excess, and often permanently discolors the plastic you wipe it off from.

Trust me, I was once one of those people who would panel line with sharpies 15 or so years ago. switching to gundam markers, real touch markers, paint washes, and even mechanical pencils, the difference is night and day. sharpies suck.

I must be using super sharpies or something, because I don't have any of those issues.

Or you're just good at using them.

but you'll still get the purple problem. because that's what color the ink is. it looks black for a while, but in a couple years, it'll be purple. and fading, unless you do a clear coat.

^ Yes, there are people renting apartments, storage warehouse etc. just so that they may house their evergrowing collection.

And I'm one of those people. :p

This guy clearly has too much money. How the heck did he afford all those in the first place? Also, he'll never sell that entire lot together. No way in hell. He needs to break that lot up into smaller lots. There aren't many TF/Gundam fans with that kind of cash or credit. I would wager less than 1% or so.

EDIT: If my wife decides to tell me I have a problem, I am going to reference this fellow from now on. He definitely has a problem. I look sane compared to him.

It's a nice collection, but it would be a lot nicer if there were more than just a handful of toys in it made before 1998...

Oh, I totally agree. Everything is far too new for a real, genuine TF collection. There are only a few of his TFs I have interest in (the Classics, Universe, Alternators/Binaltech, G1 Reissues, Masterpieces). And I have absolutely zero interest in that Gundam crap. Also, who the hell needs 4 MP US release Starscreams? That is just greed. I feel bad for Colorado collectors. They must have had to compete with this hoarder to acquire TFs at the local stores.
