'Sigh' Oh well, given how stuff has actually been happening this season. I'm willing to go longer with this show. But it does need to end, if not at 10, then at 12.
While I'm interested to see who will play Sheldon as a kid, I hope Laurie Metcalf returns as Sheldon's mom.
What an unbelievably terrible idea. It'll be cancelled before it's first season is even done - guaranteed. No one is going to invest in an entire show about the child version of a character that's "on the spectrum" when they're already getting sick of the adult version after all these years. This could be done through flashbacks in the main show - it definitely doesn't need its own entire series. Nope, it's someone named Zoe Perry.
Agreed. Since apparently they're going to do at least two more years of this show, just do a whole episode where it's a flashback. Sheldon is telling Amy about the time that (bla bla bla) happened when he was a child.
A better idea would be if Sheldon adopted a kid who was essentially a "Mini Sheldon". And if audiences were receptive to the idea of a Little Sheldon character then do then do the spinoff. And if not when the show was coming to an end anyway.
Exactly. And really, all they even need to do is just AN episode extrapolating on the whole "I'm not crazy; my mother had me tested" thing that's been mentioned umpteen dozen times over the years. That is literally all anyone would care about and chuckle at.
Whoa... a couple more seasons is just too much... heck, this season has been a bit of a snoozer... a few funny moments, but VERY FEW of those. I suppose they think Sheldon's relationship growth will keep the series 'interesting'? Not so much. The only reason I've seen as much of this season as I have is because their time slot is not giving me too many other options. The Big Bang has pretty much become The Big Dud. The kid version series for Sheldon.. oh lord no.
I've laughed more in the cold open to another comedy series this season then I have to this entire season of Big Bang. I think it's become a victim of it's own popularity, that once it became a big anchor for the network, they became increasingly "traditional" and stopped pushing the envelope or the plots and became a show about domesticity. I recall seeing an interview with the actor playing Sheldon, and his thought at the time was that he was going to be typecast from here on out, that he'd have "Adam West Syndrome" and won't be able to work for a few years on top of that (Just as Adam West couldn't because he was Batman), so instead of being bitter or trying to make a course correction, he wanted to run with it as far as possible; do as many seasons as they can and play that kind of character in other stuff (such as the Intel commercials) and set up a comfortable nest egg so he can go through the inevitable dry period and take a good long break when everyone gets tired of that portrayal.
His nest EGG should be the size of Mars or Jupiter by now... he's making some serious $$$ on that series. So if that's the way he wants to play it, fine. To his point: Guess he's done some other things but ... name one? He's obviously not the only one thinking that way apparently, I mean... looks like ALL of them are continuing the series too, which is kind of a shame, but it's hard to walk away from could we say 'easy money' at this point?
Really? Hmmm... can't imagine how I missed that one. All I've seen are the commercials he does.... oh and the "Who Do You Think You Are? on his ancestry. So.. his point is well made.
Can I have my Season Eleven now? Seriously I liked this latest episode and in typical BBT fashion they go big for their season finale.
I never describe things this way, but that was a cute ending. Still not overly happy that they're gonna stretch this thing out another 2 seasons / 46+ episodes, but I guess I'll continue tuning in until they finally put the fork in it.
