If Banzai-Tron ends up really just being a repaint of ROTF Voyager Bludgeon, then good, that's one less figure to buy and more money to save for later. Leader Starscream is tempting. I already have the ROTF voyager mold, but the Leader just looks...so much doggone better. But it costs so much money... I'm really curious about this Scout Oil Pan. Has there been any word on whether he's a new mold or a repaint of a previous ROTF Scout? Red Alert for the Generations line sounds interesting. Cybertron Soundwave, you say? Assuming that's another War for Cybertron toy to go along with Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Megatron, then this may just be a sign of more video game figures to come yet. Let's hope so.
Not staying up until 1 AM my time, but I preordered a bunch of stuff already, since I just don't have as much time to go toy hunting as I used to. Most of the items I picked up (Sea Spray, PCC figures, Generations sets) are close enough to retail that the savings in time and effort balance out any extra money I'd be spending on them. Can't justify $45 for HA Jazz or $60 for Leader Starscream, though, so I'll just hold out and hope I find those at retail.
Glad for confirmation on Soundwave, yes to Red Alert Though I've already got the Lambo mold 3 times over, now it's going to double(P/CP & Breakdown). Also, looks like Banzai-Tron is just a Bludgeon repaint like others said. I'm actually kind of glad as I've got the Botcon version & didn't want to shell out $20 for a new mold of a character I already have.
Someone might want to correct that Elita-1 (Red-deco) listing on the front page. Going through the link it's obviously just a typo, but that might give people the wrong impression that they've changed Elita-1's colors. Disappointing that Banzaitron apparently won't have a new head sculpt.
Bummer, it's all just stuff that's going to be readily available at retail anyway. Was hoping for something secret or behind-the-scenes from a "Hasbro event". Nevertheless, good for people that have trouble finding stuff locally I suppose.
I've got everything I want pre-ordered. If I find them instore first I can always cancel, but this comes in handy when that doesn't happen. As I've discovered with MU figures anyway.
Awesome news. It's really good to get some confirmation of Soundwave (now people will hopefully believe me when I mention it), and it's really good to know we'll be getting Red Alert. It's not a perfect mold, but one more can't hurt. Not all that surprising that Banzaitron is a Bludgeon repaint. Though part of me was hoping the face would be retooled. Hopefully we get some pictures in the near future, though I'm not expecting anything till Botcon.
Funny how the PCC combiners preorder pages say "Safety Warning: This Product is for Adult Collectors. It may contain sharp points, small parts that are choking hazards, and other elements that are not suitable for children under 16 years of age" Edit: Not excited for Banzaitron. Going to resume my hunt for a Botcon one. Also, I think Skullgrin would've been a better idea.
I'd rather wait for screamer to show up at my walmart in October then pay around 30 $ extra plus shipping.
Wave 2 is Cybertron Megatron and Darkmount. Presumably, wave 3 will be Cybertron Soundwave and Red Alert with the previous being carried over. Jeez, between the amazing new GI Joe stuff, and now Generations (plus the solid gold box stuff) I will be broke come Christmas. Dernit Hasbro, why couldn't you space stuff out a bit more!
