She was having really bad chest/abdominal pains and we took her to the Hospital late Friday night. The doctors found galls stones, and lots of 'em. She is going into surgery in a few hours to ahve her Gall Bladder removed.

    I worry about her.

I know the feeling having been there myself. Then right after surgery, the wooziness will be really bad (but no more pain, hey!). Hope all goes well.

Wow, onesock, you've posted exactly 2000 times more than me in the same span of months! :drunk

My best friend's girlfriend had a similar surgery about six months ago, shecame through it fine and recovered in about six weeks.

Still, I wish you both the best of luck.

Here's hoping that any medical work they do goes well and that she's all right. I offer my most kind well-wishes to both you and her.

That is a routine procedure, and I'm sure she'll be fine. My 82 year old grandpa just had his gallbladder removed a couple of weeks ago, and he's getting around without any problems.

But not gall bladder surgery right? Cuz that's about as low-impact surgery as you can have. I was on my ass for 2 days after having my gall bladder removed and felt fine after that.

Eating on the other hand sucks. You have to completely change your diet.

Well she came out of surgery all right and is back in her room. They are going to let her eat tonight and and as long as everything remains okay she will be coming home tomorrow. She should be all recovered in about week we were told.

    Thanks everyone!

I wish BiCat a speedy recovery and the best to you both.

Did she keep the stones? What do they look like?

I'm so sorry to hear that. I had that surgery done in 2004. It's hell but at least it's over with a few days.

    No you don't.
Well, my doctor told me I could eat anything I wanted.
Although it might be a good idea to alter your diet a little. Those trips to the john are brutal after the 6th or 7th time in one day! LMFAO
