Which of the Hulk movies is the better of the two; Hulk (2003) or the Incredible Hulk (2008)? I used to think the 2008 version was the better one, but after rewatching the 2003 Hulk I've changed my mind. I find the plot thoughtful and enjoyable. It keeps me interested. The CGI is much better than the 2008 version imho. I've never read the original Hulk marvel comics, but I've heard the 2003 film stays true to them. Don't get me wrong, I really like the 2008 film, but it's not as memorable to me as the 2003 version

I pretty much agree with you on all those aspects. My inner comic book nerd prefers The Incredible Hulk, while my inner moviegoer prefers Ang Lee's Hulk. The Incredible Hulk was decent and set a new basis for Hulk in the MCU, but Ang Lee's version will always be more memorable.

BTW memorable doesn't = loved. Both of them had their equal share of flaws IMO.

    Perhaps.

But there are 3 things that make the The Incredible Hulk (2008) better than Hulk (2003):

    1. It's more true to the 70's tv series
    2. The Abomination as the main villain
    3. Continuity to The Avengers movie

So? What did he do other than throw cars around and roar? And he looked nothing like Abomination. Looked more like the Hulk with a messed up spinal cord and no ears.

2008. I just...didn't like the 2003 movie. It felt so cheesy to me.

    The Incredible Hulk, hands down.

About the only good thing about the first one was seeing Hulk tear those tanks apart at Fort Irwin. But that was about it. I was extremely disappointed in that movie, not even the lovely Jennifer Connelly could save it.

Pound-for-pound he was a better villian than whatever the hell kind of Absorbing Man Banner's father was in 2003.

    The Incredible Hulk.

It didn't have the stupid "experimenting on the Bruce's blood" thing, the gamma dogs, Banner's dad being The Absorbing Man, and Hulk looked better in The Incredible Hulk then he did in The Hulk. The only thing I'd give the original over The Incredible Hulk, is that it had Glenn Talbot, one of the Hulk's earlier foes.

Other then that one thing, The Incredible Hulk was the better film. Plus, it had Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky, and that guy is an amazing actor and was awesome as Blonsky and as, despite me not liking his look a whole lot, The Abomination.

I think there are neat aspects to both but I like ang lees more because I connected more woth the characters and story. Sure it got kinda silly near the end with weather dad or whatever but I always thought eric bana was more believable than edward norton. When I saw incredible hulk I.was very aware I was watching that guy from fightclub and not.bruce banner.

    The Incredible Hulk by far.

Ang Lee's Hulk sucked in almost everyway possible except for Sam Elliot as General Ross.

The Incredible Hulk due by it's better than Ang Lee's Hulk. Plus No Hulk-size Dogs or Absorbing Dad.

The Incredible Hulk was a much better film even though it has its fair share of flaws. While Ang Lee's Hulk was more thought-provoking and story driven, I have to give it the Tye Incredible Hulk because it kept the plot simple and made it more character driven. The Abomination was a much better villain than Bruce's father and the film only tackled one theme rather than many and that theme was control. The acting in both was about the same, but Ed Norton was the better Bruce Banner. Still, the best movie with the Hulk in it is The Avengers.

That's acutally a MASSIVE mark against Incredible Hulk. That show sucked. I really hope they can just let it fucking die already.

The Incredible Hulk. 2003 one felt too cheesy and it bored me not even halfway into the movie. I didn't like the comic book panel style. Plus 2003 hulk looked too cartoony and way too fluorescent green. I didnt like how he grew to like 20 feet tall.

Ang Lee's Hulk for me. I cared more about the characters, as opposed to TIH's very generic and standard plot.

    Bana & Connelly > Norton & Tyler

*some added praise for Mark Ruffalo, who did a terrific job as Banner in The Avengers (much better than Nortan IMO)
