My favorite is Saving Private Ryan. I also like We Were Soldiers a lot as well. Full Metal Jacket is good as well, but I think that one is harder to watch than the other two.

Was just about to post this. Battleground is good too. I'll also throw out They Were Expendable.

    Saving Private Ryan
    Enemy at the Gates
    Dirty Dozen

and WWII in HD, not really a movie but if you like War Movies it is certainly worth watching.

    My kind of thread.

All Quiet on the Western Front (1930)
Band of Brothers (yeah, I know that it's a TV series and not a movie, but fuck that noise - this series rules)
    Black Hawk Down
    Full Metal Jacket
    Kelly's Heroes
    Letters from Iwo Jima
    Midway
The Pacific (see my notes on Band of Brothers)
    Red Cliff
    Saving Private Ryan
The Cockpit (particularly the 'Sonic Boom Squadron' segment)
    The Thin Red Line
    Tora! Tora! Tora!

To all you people mentioning Jarhead... really? REALLY?

Same here. Just about to post my response based on that. :lol

Full Metal Jacket and Forrest Gump (if it counts, 'cause it has lots of 'wars' in it. Sort of.).
