For the past Frank Welker set the standard for Megs voice. As for the current movie version, I quite dig Hugo Weaving interpretation of it too.

I'll take either Welker or Kaye, they were both great. But not Hugo Weaving, never Hugo Weaving. I can't stand anything about the Michael Bay version of Megatron.

If I had to choose it's Welker, however I love Kaye's Megatron for different reasons.

David Kaye. I would vote Mr. Weaving but he doesn't give a shit about being Megatron.

Kaye did voice Megatron in the Unicron Trilogy for what it's worth.

Yeah, but I blame the writing for any negative impressions given off by his character during that era, not him.

I really like Frank Welker's TFPrime Megatron voice: it projects the menace and malevolence that his G1 voice never could.

Hugo Weaving's Megatron voice has its moments though, especially when he isn't shouting or roaring. His quieter lines are much creepier to me. Take for example his scene in the climax of TF2007, when he says to Sam, "Oh, so unwise." His RotF version has two instances of this, with his dialogue with Starscream on the Nemesis and his creepy as hell dialogue in the warehouse. If the movie had kept Megatron in this mode, he would have been much creepier.

Frank Welker. David Kaye comes in a close second.

Welker hands down. He's to Megatron what Cullen is to Optimus. Then Burton in second place. I'd say those two along with Kaye are the top three.

No offense to the guy, but Daniel Riordan was the worst. And while he had his moments, I think Weaving was kind of generic.

Welker all the way. He goes all out to nail the personalities of his characters as well as the voice. I also like his raspy old voice more. It makes Megatron sound more like he's been there done that.

I voted Weaving but I will say that Welker's Prime Megs voice is damn good

I'm going say, Hugo Weaving. Not just because he voiced my favorite con. But as well that he made Megatron sound amazing through out the 3 films. But my personal favorite version of hugo was when he first voiced him in the 2007 film. Of through I notice he made Megatron sounded like he was dying in 2011 version. Which I can't complain about. Because Megatron was on his way towards death anyhow.

Burton personally, he sounded so calculating and charismatic.

I liked Weaving as Megatron, I'm sure there was a lot of editing done to get that low pitch but it worked.

I thought Welker was good in AOE till I listened to both together, Welker's 'That is why I have no fear' line was amazing but the rest...too high pitched for me. I think if he took the pitch down a bit more I would have liked it more.

Really think Burton's was the best. Combined the charisma of Kaye with the menace of Welker.
