hey, never got into this line but am now tempted (I'm talking the larger 6" size, not the minis). Now, I've read a-plenty regarding QC issues, rotten transformations, lack of poseability etc... and a lot of the complaints don't really bother me.

You see, I'm looking at these mostly from a "display" perspective. More than likely I'll transform 'em once or twice and then rest them carefully on their stands to be admired. So when I ask "what's the best?", and what are the various pros/cons of figures, I'm not so worried about "these aren't very good TOYS" kind of responses...more "can they stand up?" "Do they look decent?" etc.

Top 3 to get for (out of box) display purposes? Also, just how much of each figure is made up of die-cast? Some/a bit/all??

I'd probably say G1 Ultra Magnus, RiD Prime, and maybe Beast Machines Cheetor.

RID Prime is pretty good, and I definetly recommend him. He is the only one I have, so I can't really say anything about the others. Though I have heard good things about Rodimus Prime and the Fallen.

I'd have to say that G1 Ultra Magnus is best.

If I were to say "the best", I would describe them as the most articulate and sturdiest of the bunch. In my opinion, almost all of them look decent except for the Megatrons and Soundwave. The only one that can't stand too well for me is Soundwave. I haven't had any trouble with the others. That said, "the best" for me would be WWI Jetfire, G1 Ultra Magnus, G1 Rodimus Prime, The Fallen (save for the flappy treads), and Optimal Optimus. I did not pick up RiD Prime, Cheetor, WWI Prowl, and WWI Grimlock so I have no opinion on them. WWI Prime is probably the best looking of the bunch.

Rodimus Prime, Scourge, Cheetor and the Seeker mold (any color) are probably my votes for best.

I'd say RiD Optimus, Rodimus Prime, and Scourge are the most stable of the ones I own. I love the way G1 Magnus, WWI Optimus, and WWI Jetfire look, but as transforming toys they have a whole lot of problems.

G1 Magnus, WWI Megs and The Fallen are tops in my book. Also, I don't have WWI Grimlock yet, but he looks to be a solid figure, as well.

I'd say for me it's WWI Prime, WWI Grimlock, and G1 Ultra Magnus. My feeling is that since these guys come with stands they really weren't designed with playing in mind in the first place. They all look pretty decent. The only one I don't like the look of very much in the GI Joe crossover Megatron.

Thanks for all the opinions, guys. Looks like Ultra Magnus wins by a landslide, so he's top of the list - along with RID Prime, Fallen, WW Prime and Jetfire!

G1 ultra magnus, any seeker mold(i like t-cracker & skywarp best), the fallen, ww prime & megs, & ........
Problem is that from display focus,
    they're all pretty good.
All but the first megatron, the GIJ-styled tank.
    Nothing helps this one.
    The rest are great.
    Pitty the line ended.

Agree on Scourge, super simple TF, but a very solid fig.
Also, although most people hate Diaper Man, I like Soundwave in his Walkman mode, just don't display him in Diaper mode (and he comes with a cute little Laserbeak, lol).

I cannot understand why people are saying to get War Within Prime. he LOOKS cool, but considering one of the first post's questions was "can they stand up"...

that's him trying to stand up. he doesnt hold together in vehicle mode either.

Megatron is okay in robot mode, if you can overlook his dainty little hands. vehicle mode is a joke.

they're the only titaniums I own, but I always wanted G1 Magnus, RID Prime, and The Fallen.
