Yeah, I am going here. Let the pain commence.

So what is the best toyline. Let an all out war begin!

To me, has to be G1. I only have collected WFC, Prime, Classics, MP and Alternator, but the G1 has my heart. Everything from their blockyness, to their applying of stickers, to their amazing alt modes just make them perfect for me.

I know many of you will argue this. But to me, G1 is the LP and classics are the MP3. Sure the MP3 is nice, but the LP has a specific type of charm that cannot be touched. Of course the MP are the lossless. Cannot help but love em, but you still prefer the LP.

I think Animated did the best job of having transformations that were intricate and clever but still intuitive. One step implied the next. I can't think of any Animated toys off the top of my head where I thought, I am about to break this toy turning it into a car.

I just realized I missed BT/alt. I just look at those as MPs.

I voted Classics/Generations but the new FOC figures is going to mess up that line.

    G1.

I was going to vote BW but G1 has that special place in the heart. It was my first series and I remember watching, and loving, the broadcast premiere in 84.

I have to give it to RID. That line gave us so many cool concepts regarding combiners. Railracer is arguably the best combiner ever created and Buildking's new take on the "scramble city" aspect of combining hasn't been replicated since. Plus, how can you hate a line that not only gave us the awesomeness that is Omega Prime, but also gave us tons of kick ass repaints (RID Scourge, Skybyte, and Ruination just to name a few).

Yea, RID truly gave us everything. From kick ass repaints of G1, G2, Beast Wars, and Beast Machines figures, to new molds that were experimental and awesome all at the same time, it's the best line ever and I don't think any other line will ever capture the magic that RID had.

G1/G2 for me as the line had everything:

    1. Diecast vehicles especially the cast from the first 2 seasons were beautiful...so blocky in bot mode and the diecast vehicles were quite good. Example, Optimus' truck mode, Sunstreaker's vehicle mode, Megatron's gun mode etc.

    2. Combiners. Best part (other than Predaking and that Pretender combiner) the limbs of all the combiners were swappable.

    3. Playsets that were larger robots. We had Mextroplex, Fort Max etc

    4. Masters gimmicks. Headmasters were pretty cool especially when the heads could become pilots.

    5. Dinobots! Which kid don't love dinosaurs and robots!? Nuff said! LOL!

I'm a G1 lover till CHUG came along.

With better designs & articulation, I've to admit that I'm falling in love with these quickly. In fact, MORE than I thought I would. :D

Don't get me wrong as I still love my G1s, just more inclined to get the updated version as they provide better playability.

Classics/WFC/Generations overall, but the movie toys I do love, I really, really love. I can't imagine my house not having leader Prime in it, ever. I'll be cremated with that thing when I die.

Unfortunately my G1 collection is not complete so it kind of has a handicap. As of right now I voted for the Classics verse.

I'll go with Classics. I really enjoy the updated versions of the G1 characters.
