Every toy store has exclusives. Well, name-brand ones, anyway. But what's your favorite store when it comes to exclusives?

For me, defiantly Target. They'll have our deluxe Leadfoot!

Target definitely wins for dotm with leadfoot, but its really up to Hasbro who gets the "best"exclusives. Lately toys r us have been scoring the mp's and the wwi titaniums.

It's probably a toss up between Target and Walmart. They always get some of the best repaints and the prices are usually better than TRU.

TRU, while it does get some really neat stuff on its own (G1 resissues, last of the Animated Deluxes, etc), sometimes gets some crap exclusives as well (Seriously, who actually bought the "Meeting at the Nemesis" set other than completionists) and the prices, while understandably higher because TRU can't make up lost profit from selling food products, is still higher and annoying.

    TRU- Best "collector" oriented exclusives

    Target- Best for "mainline" exclusives

Walmart- best for pissing you off when one store gets a pile of a nifty exclusive that doesn't show up at the store 10 minutes away

I agree that the exclusives that Target's picked up seem to have the best consistency in generating interest in me to buy them. TRU runs hot and cold (some nifty stuff, some blech) plus the prices don't always help and some of the popular items seem to disappear more quickly than at other places without being replenished as quickly as other places. Walmart's okay, but around here they'll be overstocked on certain stuff (DotM Deluxe Prime, either version) while other stuff is virtually nonexistent (any other non-Deluxe Prime DotM exclusives were never restocked after the initial month or so after the line's release). As for Kmart, some can be groan-worthy, but others have been pleasant surprises even if they're not overwhelming home runs (I really liked the Victory of the Fallen set, and I think they offered the War for the Skies set too).

Target/Zellers for Space Case, perhaps the most awesome repaint/retool the line has seen. And the Universe/ROTF combiners. *notes ROTF 'burning' The Fallen, which the local Zellers STILL has a ton of* Then again...

Wal-Mart sometimes strikes gold, like with MP Skywarp, but the DOTM Deluxe Optimus Primes just won't go away...

I hate it when TRU gets good exclusives. I don't have a nearby TRU, so I usually can't get the exclusives that show up there. *cries for MP Grimmy*

In my experience, Target has had some of the best exclusives and they actually stock them regularly (and can track them with those DCPI #s)

With K-Mart its always hit and miss in both awesomeness and whether they get them in or not.

With Wal-Mart they get them in and either they have so much stock out they cant put them out or they manage to get them out and they just sit for x amount of years.

    TRU...don't get me started.

Toys R Us: Masterpiece, Animated, and now Prime (at least for a while.)
    I think they win.

Target. They get most of the best ones, they do the best job of stocking them, and they actually clearance them in a timely manner.

Over the last 6 years or so I'd say Target has probably had the most and best. TRU has had some good ones (MPs mostly) but they do price jack stuff sometimes.
