I was wondering if you guys had any shelf recommendations for your collection? Mine are all crowded on one little spot because i have no shelf space! I also cannot hang shelves on the wall so i need a free standing one.

    Help!

Yup Detolf. I got one and it makes great use of vertical space.

I use a closet shelf for 85% of my collection, but for the rest (and my Bionicle and Star Wars stuff) I use an Ikea "Lack" a tall kind.

I'd have to drive to Atlanta to get Detolfs. (almost 5 hours away.)
But it's worth it. and hell, ya gotta make a trip like that work FOR you, not vice versa.
I am saving up so when i do go, I can not only buy 4 or 5 at once, but make a day out of being in that city.
Coca Cola Museum, the aquarium, at least 3 hot dogs from The Varsity, stroll downtown and the underground and There are malls i wanna see,

    back to the question.
    Detolfs are great.
but i honestly, i could be just as happy with standard bookshelves from Walmart or Big Lots (and string up LED's in them). But i am being patient and waiting for the Detolfs.

    Old picture, but...

Just by the nature of how I have my figures displayed, I don't like the Detolf shelves. What I've got is just another shelf set from Ikea, can't tell you the name though. But there's four 1'x6' shelves. You get I think a little over a foot of clearance between shelves, though I lowered the one with the tvs on it.

The detolf shelves are what I see recommended the most. (But I'm in the same boat where I'd have to drive 6 hours to phoenix to get one) I'm more interested in the shelves you can mount on the walls. I've seen some black bracketless ones at Lowes that I really like but haven't had the extra scratch to purchase

i like the wooden 'box' shelves ikea do, but i tend to do little mini dioramas with my figures rather than just have them all stood in rows. mainly because my TF collection is only about 50 strong (i'm picky) and i like to keep the toy lines seperate, but also because i think it looks nicer.

kinda like these, with the bigger stuff stood on top -> http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/80135298

they can also be put on a computer desk or wherever rather than taking up floor space too. i've been thinking of rigging some of those cold cathode tubes for PC casemods into the units for some funky lighting effects.

and i didn't realise ikea existed in the states until about 30 seconds ago. i've led a sheltered furniture buying life!

if your collection is 4 figures, a shoebox is probably enough room to display them all :p

Only one I am missing is the Miriya, she is too expensive at 70.00 since she was limited produced.
