I'm thinking I want the takara Transformers Prime Skywarp but looking at it on e-bay the shipping prices are outrageous. So... where do you guys get your Japanese releases? Are there any stores that have better shipping then ebay?

    Ebay:
Robotkingdom is a good place for the price...you may get hit on shipping a little but its not as bad as ebay prices. Or you can get it at Tfsource or BBTS.

Thanks I checked BBTS and found it for a price I was willing to pay. I haven't shopped on BBTS and all too much. But seems pretty nifty.

AM-06 Skywarp - Transformers Prime Japanese Figures

Shipping is about 8-10 dollars at most. You can also put into POL (Pile of Loot) to save shipping of multiple purchases at different times. I've also used Robot Kingdom for the first time recently. Pretty good and these both accept Paypal. I'm sure there are more but I'm familiar with these two.

I have looked at BBTS before and this is my first time buying from there. I did make a purchase form robot kingdom a few years ago for a gift for a friend and they were pretty good from what I remember.

I usually stick to e-bay just because I usually find some good deals. But I think I'll be keeping an eye on BBTS since it seems pretty nice. And the POL option is pretty sweet.

What about Amiami or hobbylinkJapan? I've been always tempted to buy things from them because their prices are much cheaper but I'm thinking that the shipping must be killer!

I think there's a bit of a rough balance between ordering from Japan or a US store. The Japanese retail price is lower, but shipping is most, while the US price is higher, with cheaper shipping. If you're really pinching pennies there's ways to save, but shipping speed can also be worth the couple dollars' difference.

That said, HLJ, Amiami, Robot Kingdom, TFSource, and BBTS are all good places to shop. Any site sponsor is for that matter.
