Amazon Unicron. All of his accessories are hidden inside a seperate box that forms the back of his packaging. All you see in the clear box is the figure, and his minicon. There's no clutter at all. Best of all, all the components slide out of the box with ease, letting you open it and pack it back up with no hassle.

I liked the Universe 2.0 packaging. Especially for the bigger boxset figures.

I saw the MT Battle Tanker packaging in person yesterday. It looks awesome. And way bigger than I thought.

No such thing. Figures are best out of the packages.

I will always be a fan of how G1 figures were packaged. They are my favorites.

I really like the look of RiD packages, but I wished the character art wasn't Photoshopped photos and the text was multilingual. Speaking of this line, I really like the Car Robots packages.

Binaltechs are a favorite of mine as well. From start to finish, the line is very unified. The packages are very user-friendly as well (for the mib collector). Takara's Masterpieces are much the same.

Most of the Botcon sets generally look nice. The Games of Deception is a particular favorite of mine.

Speaking of convention exclusives, I really like the OTFCC Sentinel Maximus.

Takara's bookstyle reissues are nice. I'm not really a fan of Hasbro's amalgamation of "G1" and the bookstyles, though. Mainly, I'd prefer G1 reissues without "modern" artwork.

The blue boxed Alternators are a favorite of mine as well. I really like the "fish bubble" Alt boxes, but I dislike that they're not as collector friendly with the reuse.

DotM gets points from me for a very nice deluxe cardback style. I don't care for the voyager and leaders as much, but they still look nice.

The TF: P First Edition figures look very nice. I'm not as much of a fan of the mainline Prime toys, though.

Honestly, I think some KO transformers are great in package, especially the ones that have random anime pictures & misspelled names that use words like "cock" hilariously out of context.

G1 stuff (originals, Collection reissues, Encores, etc.)

US Animated toys (my favorite packaging to date...probably the only line I'd be tempted to pick up everything a second time to keep sealed)

    Hybrid Style THS-01 and THS-02

    Mighty Muggs

NYCC Prime Arcee/Bumblebee set and First Edition Voyagers

    Car Robots

    Alternity releases through Thundercracker

    Honorable mention:
Takara Masterpieces (my only nitpick is they don't include a book-style cover so you can actually see the toy inside the pretty box itself

I would have to say all the Prime toys are packaged well, even the Cyberverse commanders.

I'm definitely gonna go with this. A lot of figures have had cool little details on their packaging that made me go "cool!", but Amazon Uni has definitely left the biggest impression. It looks good sealed, and it's convienient when opened. A fantastic packaging for an even better figure.

As far as mainline packaging goes, the Alternators Fishbowl packaging is pretty damn cool.

I love the plastic "wedge" boxes that Hasbro's been using for Masterpieces and larger special edition figures for the last little while. Unicron, Seacons, Prime First Edition Voyagers, etc. They show off the figure well, and they're snazzy-looking graphically. And they're very collector conscious, easily resealable.

Some of my favorites, not in any particular order:

    - TF Collection #12, Mini-bot Team (I love book type packaging)
    - MMP02 (Movie Masterpiece) Bumblebee
    - Encore 10 Mini-bots
    - E-Hobby Destron Mini-bot set (I don't have one yet, but I love they way the Mini-bots are arranged here)
    - NYCC TF Prime FE Bumblebee-Arcee 2-pack, love the New York motif, I actually have three of these, hehe
    - WST Bumblebee, TRU Japan Exclusive. The G1 style packaging is so cool
    - Battle Ops Bumblebee, Costco Exclusive, not as good as the MP Bee, but cool nonetheless, especially the way the Legends figures are displayed.
    - TFTM Screen Battles, all have cool dioramas
    - Mighty Muggs, nice artwork on the boxes, as cute as the contents
    - DOTM Deluxes, Korean release, they are in bot mode

As long as they are in vehicle mode, they're all good. Packaging in robot mode kills the fun of the first transformation, as you can see what the figure is in both modes. In the olden days, you had a drawing of the robot, and a vehicle, but you had to transform him to get a real idea of the figure. Not to mention transforming from vehicle to robot is - I believe - more intuitive.

Oddly, i really like the packaging for a lot of the Cybertron line. Prime RID packaging is somewhat reminiscent.

I concur. Although a combination of selling gimmicks, and perhaps cost saving, ensures plenty are packaged otherwise.

    G1 in general.

My all time favorite is the first G1 Optimus Prime.

I loved the Car Robots packaging. Super Link was also pretty cool as well as Micron Legend. I love the carded Takara FE and Hasbro's RID carded figures. BW2 was simple, but effective and I have a soft spot for the early BW packaging.

    Honorable mention goes to Diaclone.

I agree, and I dig both these package designs a lot.

Though if we're talking about the actual inside packaging that holds the toys in place, I'd go with alternity or jp masterpiece releases. I just like that easy to put back and seal in place design that these packages utilize. No messy hasbro wire or paper ties to eff around with, just nice molded packaging that seals the toy in.
