Yeah. So i been lookin back, playin my old old "Bulls VS Blazers and the 92 Playoffs" Sega Genesis game and have been hankerin for a good basketball game to play

i used to have NBA Shootout for the PS1 but some reason i sold it a long time ago [bah! i kinda liked that game too]

so yeah, just lookin at what you guys thought is one of the goodens to get

i'm kind of an old school baller so any game that includes the likes of Jordan, Clyde Drexler, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird etc would be a plus [i know that that NBA Street game has some of them in it i think but yeah. doesnt HAVE to have them but thatd be sweet xD]

    so yeah :D

    help me out :D

The last NBA game I liked was NBA Showtime (The last TRUE NBA Jam game) in the arcade and on the Dreamcast.

I spent a lot of time playing Bulls vs Blazers back in the early 90's, what a wonderful game that was. I havent picked up a new basketball game the last few years, but when I was still buying them before that sega sports games always seemed to be a little better than EA sports NBA live games or whatever they are calling them now.

I mentioned NBA Showtime, which is NBA Jam.

Midway sold the name NBA Jam to Aklaim and after Tournimate Edition the Next NBA Jam from Midway was NBA Hang Time, then NBA Maximum Hang Time, after that was NBA Showtime and NBA Showtime Gold.

Anything with the NBA Jam name on it that came out after 1993 is a pale immitation.

I had NBA 2K6 for Xbox 360 a short time ago, and I thought it was a great game. However, I've not been an NBA fan for a number of years and the combination of that and not knowing who half the guys on the rosters were killed it for me. Wound up trading it in on MLB 2K6. Last NBA game I got that I thought was any good before 2K6 was NBA Live 2001 I believe for the PS2. I think Tim Duncan was on the cover.

i'm an NBA live guy. they dropped the ball around 02 when they made the AI too good and the game too realistic. i'm still on 05 which dynasty feature i love. but ive heard good things abt the nba 2kseries.

a big shoutout to the old jordan vs bird 1 on 1 game XD
