I was just wondering what gimmick did everyone like most from the movieverse toyline. Personally, I hated mech tech. My favorite was Mech Alive. Which gimmick was you most favorite and which was your favorite?

Mech Alive. Unobtrusive and didn't detract from the figure itself. Sometimes it even made a character very... interesting (ROTF Dirge, anyone?)

Mechtech was pretty boss... in Robot mode. Before, I was limited to whatever gun happened to be included with my figure, With mechTech, I can arm a figure more heavily than Ironhide.

I always liked Automorph. Mech Alive was cool to look at but kinda boring.

A tie between Mech Alive and Automorph. Neither detracted from the figure unlike Mechtech which was terrible.

I used to say Mech Alive.....but I think I'd say Mech Tech nowadays...simply because Mech Tech doesn't affect the engineering of the TF itself.

It may have affected the overal budget per TF unit a bit, but structural engineering of the TF molds was given full potential.

Size decrease and lack of paint apps and lack of altmode variety (too many cars) might have left a sour taste for some people, but many DOTM mainline molds were simply Genius.

Mech-alive or rub signs because they interfered with the toy the least. Forcing automorph into everything ruined some toys and made them easy to break while mechtech made some toys have ugly ports all over the place, like Ironhide. And the weapons sucked anyway.

Worst movie gimmick? Allspark power blue paint.

    Mechtech.

Unlike the others, if you don't like the gimmick, leave it off!

Mini-Cons... and before I get any hate, Smolder, Icepick and Bombshock are connected to the movies.

Mech Alive for me because IMO it didn't interfere with the toys' engineering and the lines that had it were pretty impressive.

I'm not too happy with Mech Tech because it ate into the 'budget' of the toys and some of the weapons look out of place. I'm also not impressed by the engineering of DOTM toys. Because some of the toys I had were pretty 'so-so'. E.g. Bumblebee's car roof just 'hangs' at the back and over time, it could be come loose.

Have to agree, those Mini-Cons—and PCC in general—was a success.
