Sideswipe is yet another Movieverse Autobot with multiple releases. Which one do you consider the "definitive" version of the character??
DOTM DLX. Screw his lack of paint, at least he's a convertable, with longer blades than his larger buddy, ROTF DLX Sideswipe and has a bfg.
This is exactly how I feel. The silver paint looks pretty, but DOTM is a better toy. He's considerably less chunky than the ROTF one (chest, thighs, blades), he can stand without a huge amount of hassle, he poses slightly better, and the gun is a great accessory for any figure.
If your gunna display it, in bot' mode backed up in the corner of a shelf, Like mine, Then the HA is the best for me. I LOVE that one, but hat ethe back. The Car mode is just AWESOME. But if I had to pick just one overall deluxe..I really dig that import Sidearm sideswipe, with regular colors...but then he dont have swords...so then DOTM deluxe I would think.. Hate all you want..HA sideswipe looks freakin AWESOME if you cant see the car on his back....
I think the best movie Swipe would have to be the DOTM Walmart Racing Sideswipe,those colors on him just are the COOLEST,and all the homages to boot.To me he is the Best version from any line by far.

Sidearm Sideswipe. Only bad thing about him is the dumb red flame deco, but the Japanese one is perfect. Fan made and official stealth mode, easier to stand than the first ROTF version, and isn't the king of bland grey plastic like the DOTM one. The DOTM mold looks ok, but goddamn that lack of paint just neuters it badly. As an indirect bonus, Sideswipe uses similar looking guns to the Sidearm one in the movie, so he's even more accurate than before.
In terms of enjoyment, I fully recommend Sidearm Sideswipe. Amazing transformation, stable bot mode and cool guns. His only weak point is the lack of blades (I like the red paint). Other than that the DOTM isn't a bad toy at all, but I still prefer Sidearm S.
I can't decide. Therefore, I have Swerve, Sidearm SS, DotM SS, and am getting Darksteel. Just wish they could pull off silver + pistols + blades on this guy. Of course, this could be done pretty easily by Hasbro using the DotM Deluxe as a base.
i am on the fence between dotm and side arm, how ever, i simply love the side arm walmart deluxe! it looks like it'd fit right in with the race car wreckers!
Classic Camaro BB's pistols go well with DOTM 'Swipe. I just gave them to him since CC Bumblebee is a piece of shit anyway
Strange, I know. But for me its the Target Exclusive HFTD Deluxe that was sold in a two-pack with Barricade. The allspark blue joints and clear blue windows do it for me.
