haven't seen it, but The Batman's version has to be the worst.... monkey-Joker, REALLY?

i think they all bring something, Hamill is probably tops for me. i think Ledger's Joker is more realistic, like if someone really did go nuts and act like that. Nicholson played it a little goofier, so maybe somewhere in between Hamill and Ledger.

But Joker is a psycopath and Ledger portrayed him as a sociopath.
I have nothing with Ledger but his Joker is a messy individual with no sense of self-worth and who's only focus is to act weird to differientiate himself from other mobsters.
Regardless, he was an "effective Joker" for the Batman of The Dark Knight.

I don't think he sucks, but he is definitely the weakest of the modern animated Jokers for me (I actually like The Batman's version- Kevin Michael Richardson is one of my favorite voice actors).

Richard Epcar should voice the next animated Joker if Hamill is too busy.

He's athletic, sure, but not a monkey. And they did tone down his prancing when he was redesigned early on.

So jumping around, hanging from things and fighting with bare feet does not make one a little monkey like? Nothing really wrong with but it is very animalistic in nature.

edit: I always found his fighting style to be very Capoeira like and if any of you know anything about that type of fighting art its very fluid and primitive. Pretty cool stuff IMO

While I do agree that The Batman's Joker's fighting style can lend itself to be monkey-like, it does a great job of simulating an acrobat. Honestly, if an acrobat suddenly decided to start kicking @$$, that is how I would imagine it would look like :lol

I chose Hamil just because Im a bigger fan of the various Animated series and such, and his portrayal seems to fit in better when I fill in the voice bubbles in comics with a voice actor/actress's voice.

I loved Heath Ledger's performance because his character wasn't meant to be as funny, it was an interesting spin on an old character.

Next would be Nicholson as Batman was the first movie I ever saw in Theaters, first movie I ever had on VHS, and first toyline I really fell in love with. So its more of a childhood nostalgia thing.

And Romero? Its hard to take the Joker seriously when you cant even take the goddamn Batman seriously in his own frikkin tv show. Someone said in the retcon thread they'd like to retcon Smallville into oblivion, please get rid of this garbage first.

I liked him. He wasn't the best Joker but definitely suited the style of B:BATB, which I LOVE.

This Joker was. Even the redesign later in the series didn't change my opinion on him (the Harley ep was pretty good though). The best thing about 'The Batman' was Black Mask.
