Like the title says? Who is the best Shockwave, I prefer the Prime version for being unique and similar at the same time

I would have to agree Dark of the Moon is the worst sense he didn't really DO anything but I thought Shock Blast, as he was called in Energon would get at least a couple votes. I kinda like that crazy lunatic. Then again no one in the show liked him either, seriously even the Decepticons hated Shock Blast.

Anyway... I voted Animated. As for why. Short answer, I like the whole double agent aspect to him also being Longarm Prime. Long answer, keep reading.

G1 Shockwave I like but he was kinda the guy Megatron left on Cybertron and then we wandered what the hell he was doing in all that time. He seemed to just be waiting by the phone for Megatron to call.

Energon Shock Blast was an interesting new take on the character but that's not exactly the best.

Animated Shockwave took G1 Shockwave and actually gave him something to do on Cybertron. Plus he had a high ranking position among the Autobots, framed Wasp as a spy, and was just all around the most active and most interesting character named Shockwave.

Dark of the Moon... rode around on a giant drilling snake thing. I wish he actually used his tank mode and that driller wasn't there because the driller was more interesting than him and it's not even a character.

Prime, I like what I've seen of him so far but he's only had one episode. It's hard to call him the best after only a single appearance on the show. The others would have to be pretty bad to rank Prime higher than them... like DotM... Prime is definitely better than that one.

Anyway, there are other double agent characters in Transformers but Shockwave is the only one who is a Prime, that should show how much of a bad ass Animated is.

I voted G1, but as it's Shockwave I would have voted Animated...

I didn't like Energon Shockwave because he was too incompetent & crazy impulsive. Reminded me of a Starscream wannabe. Definately not the Shockwave persona I'm use to.

DOTM Shockwave controlled the all powerful ship with tentacles & that's it. Like most Movie verse TF characters. He was devoid of persona & barely spoke a few words.

 

AND beat Ultra Magnus to near death, leaving the most powerful Autobot in the series, and leader of Cybertron, on life support for the remainder of the show (and he would have eventually died from his injuries had Season 4 happened).

I had to vote for Animated Shockwave, as I do every time this topic comes up.

I voted G1, but clearly mean the MARVEL version, not the rubbish version from the cartoon series.

 

G1 cartoon Shockwave. I thought Marvel Shockwave died in #12. I was very disappointed to see him come back in #14. Shockwave on earth just doesn't match. Not even in DOTM.

 

Then the options would be G1, Cybertron, RotF/DotM, Animated, and Prime There was no Energon Soundwave.

For the record of the Soundwaves I think Animated was the worst because he wasn't the loyalist to Megatron that the others are and wasn't even a True Decepticon, he was a toy... that sells toys!!! Personally Cybertron is my favorite Soundwave because I love that design and he could mimic the voice of other character, not just play back recorded voices but actually just talk using their voice. The only thing I don't like about Cybertron Soundwave is according to his toy packaging Laserbeak's alt mode is a bomb. It doesn't really look like a bomb and why would anyone want to transform into an explosive in the first place? Worst idea for a Transformer EVER! Good thing I don't really care about Laserbeak that much, now if they had Ravage transform into a bomb then I'd have some serious issues.

 

Animated for me to this point.
