I love the Hulk. I love the Bill Bixby show, the Ed Norton movie, and I'm stoked for the new live-action series. But I don't have many Hulk comics in my collection and really want some good ones. Any suggestions?

    Hulk: Transformations

If you can find it, it might be out of print. Has alot of great Hulk stories with different versions of the Hulk. It also includes my favorite issue. The Incredible Hulk #372

The Green Hulk returns. Forces his way out so hard, that he rips out of Banner's skin

The Byrne and Peter David visionaries trades. I have the individual issues but there is some of my favorite hulk stuff there from the late 80s and early 90s.

Yeah, that's one of the individual issues I don't have ($$$ :(  ) but I have it collected in the ground zero arc, one of my favorites too.

Planet Hulk and the Peter David's run. World War Hulk was good only to see Hulk beating up and actually winning against the rest of the Pro Reg Marvel heroes.

PAD remade the Hulk, and it was good. He's the author that really made me a Hulk fan. He finally asked the question "What the hell is wrong with Bruce to give him that much repressed anger?". The answer has defined the character ever since. Oh yeah, also lots of Doc Samson stuff in there. I likes me some Leonard.

Oh yeah, and Planet Hulk. Great stuff.

I picked this up the other day.

Very meh. But I managed to find the Hulk Transformations TPB on Amazon. :D  Can't wait to read it. And they have all of the Peter David trades, so looking forward to those too eventually. Thanks for all of your suggestions guys.

I picked up Hulk dogs of war trade paperback very cheap. Without giving away spoilers, was it any good? I have not got around to reading it yet.

Pick up the Ground Zero and Future Imperfect TPB's. Both were done by Peter David and are amazing reads!

Future Imperfect takes the Hulk into a post apocalyptic future, and all the super heroes are gone. However, there is one super being called the Maestro that rules the planet, and the Hulk must confront him.

The story is awesome, and the art is by George Perez. The events that take place in FI have serious implications on the Hulk for years to come! Probably my favorite read from PAD.

Yeah, its pretty good. I always wished they had done more with the "breakout" at the end.

    Planet Hulk

I highly recommend 70s and 80s Marvel Essentials Hulks as well (vol 3 to 6). They really capture the classic feel of hulk. Anything Trimpe or Sal Buescema works for me.

Keown and David's run is pretty to look at but it became a generic superhero book at that point, which is fine as the writing is nice, but I like the monster personally.
