From the American Sunbow era, "Dweller In The Depths" is probably one of my favorites just for the fact that the animation quality is probably the closest to TF:TM as you can possibly get in the entire series and feels like an actual sequel to it because it focuses entirely on the movie characters as well.

"Call of the Primitives" has great animation as well...but the style is off. An Primacron is kind of a bad joke to me.

I will watch The Master Builder any day of the week.

Also, can I put the whole of the first season in second place?

I'm more of a season three person (my favorite character is Galvatron and runner up is Kup, so getting to see them is great for me) but if I had to pick one episode it would be The Burden Hardest To Bear. Both Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime and Scourge get focus and there are some nice character moments and interactions in the episode (namely Rodimus Prime and Kup talking to one another about the burden of leadership). Getting to see the usually loyal Scourge betray Galvatron and take over the Decepticons was fun as well. The way Galvatron says "Scourge!" at the end of the episode makes me chuckle whenever I watch that episode. All in all, I would give it an 8.6 (1986 :) ) out of 10.

The pilot was the most memorable episode for me.

I don't know if I could pick a single episode, but I would say Webworld is a strong contender.

    YouTube (Legacy):
The Burden Hardest to Bear, sure it was Rodimus doubting himself about being leader for a millionth time but I love how it was handled and how in the end, Rodimus finally understood what it meant to be a leader... Only for the Return of Optimus Prime to come one episode after that and ruined it by completely tossing Rodimus to the side like garbage!

Ah sorry, I just am still unhappy with the timing of the episodes' releases and how all of Rodimus' development pretty much got thrown out in favor of Optimus.

In some ways, the series makes a bit more sense overall if you skip season 2 and just go from season 1 straight to TF:TM.

My favorite is still Blaster Blues. Makes me laugh whenever Optimus tells Blaster to shut up while Jazz spins and dances :lol

Or the one one when Prime says "A boobytrap that actually catches boobies" :lol
