And lo, the beginning of the club using the Wings Universe. The first appearance of a classics Kup and Scourge toy (which would later get superseded), but there were a few gems this year..

To me, Banzai-Tron is the star. I absolutely LOVE his deco.

Banzai-Tron rocked this set, every one but him and Flack was wrong.

Banzaitron is the standout and doubles nicely as a "Classics" version.

I like Landshark a lot more than I thought I would despite being a character I have no attachment too but the mold selection helps.

I think Leozack also turned out well, and Skyquake would have been cool if he had a new head. I keep hoping Venksta will make some upgrade kits for Botcon figures that never got 'em that should have.. (Skyquake, Pyro, etc.)

I like the colours for Skyquake, I like the concept of a Thunderclash toy, but honestly this year was such a disappointing set - and it was my very first in the flesh Botcon - I'm going to abstain from voting.
Kup was terrible, and Scourge works better as Ratbat, and we got Generations versions of both like 2 years later. Sucks.

My favorites here are Scourge and Flak. All I have is the boxset, so I don't feel right voting for figures I don't own. Otherwise I might have thrown a vote to Banzai-Tron (but he probably won't need my help).

I voted for Scourge/Sweeps based on at the time they had no Classics representation and I was pshched that they were being released even as redecoes. But, in hindsight I should've voted Banzaitron as he fits nicely with the "Wings" crew and the main Classics line-up.

    Elita-1.

What? I've always wanted a Barbie Dream Motorboat.

Looks like a lot of people agree with me in that Banzai-Tron is the clear winner of 2009.. :D
