The results are in. Based on the 7 polls that I did last week, I'm taking the top spot in each one (if some were REALLY close or tied, I'm getting the top two, and in 2011, I'm putting 3 of them in because AM TC isn't really part of that year's theme) and we're putting it to a vote to see who the BEST FP Botcon toy of all time is.

Pete should take note, because all of the ones in this poll were already voted as cream of the crop for their respective years, and this should give some indication of what the fans REALLY love!

Taking into account uniqueness of the figure, quality of the original mold, and notability of the character, I'm going with Deathsaurus.

RiD Megatron is an excellent mold. And it fits Deathsaurus pretty well. And considering his original was never released stateside...

Plus, it looks fantastic. Just a really good looking color scheme that works on the figure.

SG Prime would probably be my second choice.

 

While I do agree that Deathsauras is an awesome deco, I still had to go with Banzai-Tron. I think FP hit a home run with him in using the right mold with the right (and many) paint apps. You'd almost think that the mold was made for him. To me, he's just perfect.

That's not to say the others on this list aren't.. it was a VERY hard choice, because there's so many great ones.

 

Darksyde Megs hands down...none of this lame SG stuff.

 

Well, technically, there's only 3 SG figures, and one of them wasn't even advertised as such (Alpha Trion).

Still, there's a really even flow of votes going on... (except I think I'm the only one who voted for Banzai-Tron... sniff... he's awesome!)

Voted Dreadwing because he's great and fills a G1 hole for a great character pair. I would have possibly voted Rapido... if I owned him.

I'm torn... the two that will never leave my collection are 06 Darksyde Megs and 08 SG Prime. BW Megs is one of my all-time favorite characters, and love seeing a pre-Beast mode alt mode for him that's powerful and has a great new head sculpt. And I don't know what it is about SG Prime... I don't even collect any other SG, but I <3 that slick deco and tampographs.

I REALLY wish I had Darksyde Megatron... Maybe one day my wife will let me with tax money.... (though I'd want Primal too).

I didn't vote for SG TC originally as I wanted to keep with the theme of the boxset, but seeing as my pick of Autotrooper didn't make the final, SG TC has to get my vote.

Repurposing an obscure Euro Action Master deco into SG, while at the same time making it perfectly suitable to fit in with the previous years G2 redux theme was a stroke of genius, this is EXACTLY what a Botcon figure should be, something that would never find place as a mass-market release.
