Cyclonus's bot mode is pure win, admitted, but his legs just do screwy things in alt mode as well as being really "gap-y". How does that equal "perfect"? Personally, I'm not sure I own a perfect deluxe though I love the heck out of a lot of them. I think Henkei Jazz might come close though I don't own that version. Edit: I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the seeker mold but it isn't perfect. Ankle articulation is desperatelty needed and his chest is hollow in alt mode.

I kinda want to say Movie '07 preview Optimus. I'm not sure what it is, but there's something about that toy that I just love. If not that, then probably Armada Hoist - friggin' love that guy.
Best deluxe ever? Man, that's a hard question to answer ... Immediately, WFC Optimus Prime came to mind so I have to mention that figure first. The Generations Wheeljack/Tracks mold is ridiculously good, same with RTS Jazz, because they can be re-purposed for so many characters. Animated Prowl is pure awesome (and hopefully that mold is someday used again for characters like Bluestreak and Smokescreen). There's a ton of DLX figures that are my favorites ...
there's so many really good ones... and so many bad ones. I like alot of the guys that have been brought up already like Hound, Mirage, seekers, but I find those all have major design flaws that are hard to overlook (when considering a "perfect deluxe"). When I thought about this I thought more about the mold than extra paint details so I didn't put any thought into "henkei vs Hasbro" (besides, I think a lot of people put "henkei _____" to sound elitest or something). For me, my idea of the perfect deluxe is probably DOTM cyberfire bumblebee. I know a lot of people don't even consider the movies toys when thinking of this and go straight to classics, but IMO I love cyberfire bee. It's the best deluxe mold of movie bumblebee (shared with regular DOTM bee), has a sweet mechtech cannon and has the awesome black paint, yellow flames and red eyes. He's fun to transform, and he's so cool he got many people who hated the movie ascetic or had enough bumblebee to actually go out and buy him. Go Murder Bee! oh and WFC soundwave is right up there too. along with wreck gar and cyclonus.
Isn't preview Optimus a Voyager? Anyway, (not directed at you) I thought the question was "perfect deluxe" and not "favorite deluxe"?
