I'd have to say Thunderwing. He, to me seemed perfect for being the leader of the Decepticon's...

Another good option would be Straxus. Megatron was all but walking on eggshells around him afterall.

But ultimately... I have a new found obsession for Thunderwing, so he's my guy.

i liked scorponok as a leader. he came with his own base, which was also a space carrier for his troops. also he was very devious. blew up cybertron in 1 continuity. and over threw the current leader by letting him dround himself. in energon/superlink counterpart had countless drones at his disposal. that is something worth noting becuase he had an army of mindless drones at his commander and they only really obeyed him.

 

Galvatron and Megatron were not the same bot. In the comics they were 2 separate characters. In the cartoon, Galvatron was created from the dying chasis of Megatron. Once he became Galvatron, he was a completely different con

Overlord wasn't the leader (Devil Z was and he wasn't a Transformer, nor were any of the other ones) and Scrash was...well, we know nothing of the guy so...
