Why is it so odd?

I'm just a regular guy who has the chance to get paid to do what he loves! I won't ever forget my roots. It would be weird if I got a part on a TF series or something TF related... I think I'd be the only TFW member that was an actual TF voice actor besides Daniel Ross!  

I get that a lot. I'm more from Memphis than Mississippi, but I can explain... my mother was an English teacher so I wasn't allowed to use slang like "ain't" and other typical "Southern" dialect growing up. Add that to being a voice actor for almost a year now, having voiceover coaching, and taking voiceover workshops and you have an almost accentless Southerner. A lot of people have to ask where I'm from becaus I disguise it so well. I let my "I's" slip into "ah's" and leave of the "G" at the end of "ing" words every once and awhile when I speak in my regular voice but that's about it.

just an update! so they contacted me and i got more information. apparently, what i did was an audition. BUT the good news is that i got TWO out of the three jobs! the jobs are a little smaller than what i thought. they try out new talent on smaller jobs rather than big stuff. i was going based on the script titles. they are both movie promos for the international releases of "9" and "Extraordinary Measures" so unfortunately they won't be playing here in the US, but all you guys living outside the US will be able to see and/or hear them advertised! they are still VERY well-paying and they already had me "demo" (their term for "audition") for ANOTHER one. it's the Academy Award Committee member promo for "The Last Station" with Christopher Plummer. if i get the job, it will be what plays for the committee members who will be deciding the winners and not playing at the actual ceremony.

Honestly, those don't sound that 'small'! They may not be wide release jobs, but they're certainly jobs that put you right smack out there in front of industry professionals.
