i have been wondering about the clip system weapons since so many figures now have the spots for the even though they do not come with them.

the best one i have seen yet is for sure breachers.

Ooh... that's a toughie. It's probably a tie between Scourge's double barreled pistol, Breachers, and the tracks missile. Mostly because those are the ones that manage to be weapon-like without being overly cumbersome.

I'm in love with the Straxus/Skullgrin missile box, I'm always moving it around. They currently adorn Grapple and Crankcase.

Recon Ironhide's weapons can outfit an entire Autobot (or Decepticon) team. You can't beat that.

Indeed, but they are actually a little too bulky to use as clip weapons, if you follow me.

They are great as standard hand weapons though. I have Generations Cliffjumper packing the rifle now and Wheeljack with the Gatling machine gun.

Worth noting, Kup almost seems designed as a compliment to Recon Ironhide. Between the clips at the top, the alternate storage for his rifle (which is similar in design to Recon's gear), and the truck bed, he could be a rolling armory.

I'd say Straxus with his Machine gun and missile rack. (But WTF is the third clip weapon supposed to be?)

    Exactly.
The best clip system weapons are the ones that aren't cumbersome. The sleeker it is, the better.

Not my favorite, but I think Tomahawk's missle launchers are cool not only because they work pretty well in copter mode and as his handheld weapons, but you can also toss them aside if you don't like cumbersome launchers. If you're into spring loaded stuff, then it would be fun to clip them onto other figures.
