Dunno if this thread already excists, but here goes

What do you think (and give reasons) is the best animated toy so far
Likness to the actual animated version, poseability, size, cool weapons/gimmicks, colour sceme, transformation, playability, etc...

My vote would have to go with Prowl
He looks just like he does in the show, from looking at him you would never guess he transforms into a motorcycle, you can just about pose him in almost any posisition, his size seems spot on,
    Whats yours

Lockdown. Perhaps not the MOST show-accurate body, but a great transformation that gives a very tall body with a small car, great value for a deluxe, fantastic headsculpt, and comes with an accesory (EMP generator), that works with another toy (ratchet). That's just awesome.

DLX Prime (Cybertron mode). Looks very dynamic and lots of weapon options.

Leader Megatron (for show accuracy and awesomeness - finally a top quality Megatron again) - what might put people off though, are his simplistic transformation and the soundbites built in him make him sound MUCH more maniacal than he is in the show.

Voyager Shockwave/Longarm - great concept for 2 different bots, both with their own vehicle mode. I've seen people bitch about the vehicle modes, but they ARE accurate Cybertronian forms (even the tank mode, as seen in Transwarped), and really not more simplistic than other Cybertronian modes seen so far.

These are my two favorites, but pretty much most of the Animated toys are awesome!

Wow, I've never given this much thought. Off the bat, I'd have to say...Starscream, I guess.

    difficult.

show accuracy is a non issue for me (to get that out the way) . I like different toys for different reasons, eg the look of the robot mode, the enjoyment of transformation etc.

on looks, thats very tricky, perhaps blurr robot mode, but i also find lugnut, grimlock and swindle very cool.

transformation wise i find earth voyager prime to be hard to beat, very simple (compared to say delux cybertorn prime who is one of the tricker ones to TF, more 'squeezing and moulding' for him) but in obvious deliberate steps more akin to a G1 toy.

overall though i'd say blurr, his TF seems difficult at first but once you learn the sequence hes easy but still complex enough to be interesting. Hes just a very cool looking toy in both modes and well constructed, i like the unique aspects too, the weird wheels, his foot transformation, his colours work very well too.

    BLURR!!

Well, this is a rather hard decision to make. I will have to say Wreck-gar, Longarm Prime/Shockwave, and Waspintor for now.

I'd say Longarm//Shockwave. There's a lot of wonderful engineering there, and it manages to resurrect a G1 gimmick that was used only once and improve it by having not just two bot modes but also two alt modes.

Prowl and Lockdown are not far behind. Ratchet's pretty damned awesome too, but he's not flashy and tends to get lost in the shuffle.

While the majority of them are great, I'd have to say Wreck-Gar is the best. And although I don't have Shockwave/Longarm or Waspinator yet, I doubt that opinion's going to change much.

    Three-way tie:

    1. Leader Megatron
    2. Deluxe Blurr
    3. Voyager Bulkhead

If you forced me to choose one, I would probably select Leader Megatron. Not an overly-complex transformation. But one hell of a nice looking toy and excellent cartoon-accurate appearance.

I was just telling my brother the other day that there really aren't any (mainline) Animated toys that aren't cool, so it's hard to pick one. However, I'm going to say Lockdown (big surprise). The car mode is awesome, his robot mode is wicked and has the neat effect of being Voyager-sized despite having a Deluxe-sized alt. mode, not to mention the fact that he's an excellent character on the show.

Runners-up would be Leaders Ultra Magnus and Megatron, then Shockwave and Prowl. And Jazz, and Waspinator, and Optimus Prime, and Soundwave, and Grimlock, and Oil Slick, and Swindle, and Bulkhead, and Blitzwing, and Sentinel Prime, and Starscream, and... :D
