Jazz, Big fan of Dreamwave Jazz and this toy looks just like he did in the dreamwave comics as long as reprolabels are on him.

They're all quite good. "Best" would depend on a number of things.

    - best update of the original transformation scheme: Hound, Smokescreen or Silverstreak. They change in a very similar manner to the original.
    - best homage to the original: Tracks or Meister
    - simpler transformation (for an Alternator) Rumble, Windcharger or Decepticharge are less complicated than some others

Jazz. The sculpt is nice, he really looks like his G1 counterpart (esp. once reprolabels are added), and the mold and transformation are improved from the Subaru mold (particularly in the arms department).

they are all nice but it depends on how much of a challenge you would like to have, close to G1 look, type of alt. mode and looks.

easiest challenge of the line: Windcharger
biggest challenge of the line: Mustang mold
type of alt: personal preferences. I have the Subaru molds since my car is a Subie.
    Looks: Mirage or Alt. Rodimus
Close to G1 look: Jazz or Hound

QFT! I personally like the Binaltech Smokescreen GT version best.

Jazz, hands down. He's a perfect mix of great aesthetics, excellent poseability, and challenging but not frustrating (*coughSmokescreencough*) transformation.

Getting the head out is quite difficult. I really liked Hound, and Smokesreen. Oh, and Silverstreak.

Jazz is great, great head sculpt, and with the reprolabel set it's a brilliant update.

I really like the Ricochet/Silverstreak/Smokescreen mold too, I'd say Silverstreak is the best of those though.

I don't have the Mirage/Rodimus mold, but it looks like fun, and great alt mode too.

They're all pretty great updates to the originals... I think it comes down to who you're fav. G1 character was/is. For me, that means Hound, but other fans of say Jazz or Wheeljack, probably really dig those.

The only ones that seem "off" to me are the non-auto ones who are cars now, like Grimlock and Shockwave...

Skids! Awesome mold, stupendous poseability, one of the less "flawed" alt/bt designs.

My favorite Alternator for G1 accuracy I would have to agree is Jazz or Hound. I believe the WRX is sometimes the biggest B**** to get perfectly back into car mode, however I love the robot mode for this figure. Skids, Sunstreaker/Sideswipe are awesome too...but I think Jazz gets my vote for best Alternator of the line. Ravage (both Corvette repaint and Jaguar), and Rumble get my award for pointless and lame editions to the Alt/Binaltech line.

I still need Wheeljack (and will not settle for Grimlock..he's never supposed to be a vehicle in my opinion), Tracks, and Mirage/Rodimus ( I can't decide which character to represent as an Alternator between Mirage and Rodimus...due to the fact besides Prowl/Bluestreak/Smokescreen and Sunstreaker/Sideswipe I really detest repaints if they are not true characters that have appeared in the cartoon at the very least.
