Megadeth; beating Metallica at their own game for over 20 years.

NOt only that but MEtallica kick Megadeths butt as songwriting too. No one can touch M.O.P for classic Metal songwriting, it has classical music leanings and still holds strong 20 years later. Wheres most of MEgadeths stuff is forgettable to me.

Metallica - tried to change their sound with changing times, failed
Megadeth - may not be as popular, but their sound has remained the same

In my eyes, that's one band doing the music it loves (Megadeth) versus a band that tries to capitalize on their name recognition (Metallica).

In my opinon Metallica only failed with St Anger, even then you can hear the inklings of greatness. Most of the songs start out strong but fail by the end. Megadeths sound has never changed..ever, neither has Mustaine.

    Each to their own though

    Both Metallica and Megadeth.

I stopped listening to Metallica after the Black Album.
Stopped listening to Megadeth after Youthanasia
