Boner alert! Can't wait for this! Hope he doesn't continue his Dark Avengers/X-Men characterization by making Emma Frost a slut.

I like Bendis when he keeps characters, well... in character. I'm interested.

If this is true I'm done with the X-Men books (except X-Factor, assuming PAD is still on it). Bendis is a terrible writer and cannot handle team books at all; every character sounds exactly the same, pet characters get ridiculous amounts of focus, and every time he's proud of a story he will repeat it almost note for note within a year.

If this in anyway displaces Jason Aaron from Wolverine and the X-Men - the most fun book on the market since Palmiotti, Gray, and Conner left Power Girl - I will drop Marvel entirely.

I also wonder how this will affect Aaron. However, I am not an X-Men fan. So if this makes Aaron move to Avengers, I am all for it.

Oh God, now we're going to get years of talking heads, and super decompressed and repetitive storytelling (focusing on probably some pet small time villain) from the X-Men? Ugh

Bendis isn't actually a terrible writer, but he is terrible with teams, particularly ones that are supposed to be dealing with cosmic level threats. He just can't write teams or cosmic events, but he does very well with street level heroes and threats (see Ult Spider-Man, Daredevil, Alias)

If ever, he should have been assigned to the Spider-Man/Daredevil books. I really hope Aaron will stay with Wolverine and the X-men, definitely one of their best books now.

Years of boring soap opera and plots that go on forever?

To be fair, people loved that shit when Claremont was doing it.

I admit I did. But I also loved Bendis' run on Ultimate X-men.

They should just rename the company Bendis Comics. And he better stay the eff away from Deadpool.

Expect the X-Men to be the primary focus of every yearly massive crossover for a some time, folks.

I like Bendis, for the most part- his work on Ultimate Spidey is probably the best retelling of any character in the MU, and his stories were really good. I was with him up until he started doing the New Avengers, and then he kinda lost me. Secret Invasion and Siege were just such MEH-fests and I don't care for his "shocking" character deaths.

    THAT IT WAS.

    ...That it was.

Still not a fan of Bendis though. I mean, I liked House of M. But Secret Invasion was so convoluted and Siege was just an attempt to set everything right in the Marvel Universe, A.K.A. kill the Sentry.

I thought Secret Invasion was OK...not great though. I like his team books pretty well, but his events seem a little lackluster...but I think he could do alright with the X-Men...

Really? It was six issues of people standing around talking, a fight scene, and then an epilogue. I've rarely seen worse pacing.

This. Here's hoping not EVERY X-Man under his watch will talk like Spider-man.
