Bens Grandpa is awesome.

Also, the black and grey alien that can control technology looks pretty snazzy.

That said, I've only seen about 2-3 episodes.

I remember an enemy who was a golden robot. I think he had 4? legs, one small arm and on huge pincer/cannon arm. He had an awesome voice. Anyone know the name?
He was a bounty hunter of some sort I believe. On Earth with two others as far as I could gather.
EDIT: Wikipedia tells me he was called Kraab.

EDIT 2: It also has a damn catchy theme tune. Dangit, now I want to watch the series.

I actually like the show and some of the characters, like Tetrax (sp) the crystal like mercenary dude.

 

Burn it to disc then, i'm sure that there is free DVD-V and VCD authoring software somewhere on internet if you don't have some already.

 

It's still better than the annoying Fantastic 4.

 

Ben 10 sucks. I've seen the show, and let me just say that I can see a damn good comparison between this show and a polished turd.

 

I actually like the show and have seen some random assortment of episodes. It seems that once the show got going there was some sort of minor ongoing plot.

It isn't intelligent entertainment, but I found it to be an enjoyable show.

I've seen a couple of episodes. It's not actually that bad a show.

 

Dave Johnson did a lot of the design work for the show and that is the only reason I've been wanting to catch it, but I have yet to see any episodes.

Dave Johnson is the guy that does all the covers for '100 Bullets'

Did you see the episode Ben 10,000. In the future, Wildmutt looks more like a cat. He has a long tufted tail and tiger stripes. Funny, because Ben named him Wildmutt. I wonder if he changed the name.

Season 1 is out on DVD and season 2 is out soon.

Ben Tennyson is 10 years old -thus the names are indicative of what a 10 year old would devise. Other people make fun of him for it and his future self even said "I don't name them anymore, they're not pets."

Voices unbearable?
Seriously, Ben 10 has had nothing but the best voice talent in the industry working on it. Tara Strong, Fred Tatasciore, Steve Blum -top names; all of them.
And it has had guest stars in the form of Clancy Brown, Michael Dorn and even Dwight Schultz.

And finally, I can not believe you thought the show was not violent. Did you really watch it? I challenge anyone to watch an episode where Vilgax takes an active part and still say the show is not violent.

Back on topic, I have Verizon as my TV provider and they said that the show was in repeats as well. That was after I found it!

Thank you Cartoon Network for moving shows around all the time so no one can watch them. I am not exactly certain what you hope to gain from that strategy, but I hope it pays off.

Okay, I hate Tara Strong, but that's just me.

Like I said, half or so of one episode, I didn't see any fighting. (other than one flashy background attack, atleast, I think it was an attack, it could've been a transformation) Maybe I just picked the wrong episode to watch as my first?

It might not change your mind but it will give you a little idea of what I am talking about.

Ben 10 sometimes uses anime conventions for some attacks, but you will never see one of the aliens shouting an attack name while slding across the screen.

You will also never hear dialog like "He used PowerHeat! My only chance is to counter with MegaCold" or anything like that.

 

Eh, my 9-year-old nephew likes it, so apparently the target audience is being hit. At least it's easier to sit through than some of the other shows he likes to watch. Besides, every time I watch a Ben 10 episode, I get the feeling that....

I'm glad it's not just me. Robby was also able to change into Martian Manhunter once, complete with "weak against fire." I still have that issue, somewhere.

 

Food Network did this with Iron Chef (original series, not the shitty Americanized version), too. Bring it back, yo. Put everything I like back where it originally aired and I'll be happy. Or, dammit, why don't they just ask me when things should air?

 

If this was the Fox network, the show is going to be cancelled. They did that with Arrested Developement, Futurama, Family Guy, Andy Barker PI and many others shows before they cancelled them.
