KA, I just wanted to let you know - even in theory, that is a completely kickass idea. The blueprints are thorough enough that somebody with enough free time might be able to do something like that. Damn, do I wish I had free time now... :cry

If this looks sooooooooooooooooooooo good in blue prints I wonder how good it will look once you finish it. Take all the time you need, I know the result will be more than we can imagine. :rock

Looks like a lot of fun, but also a lot of time and $$. Reminds me of a 4' x 8' HO train layout I built over Christmas break several years ago. Took lots of time, but I learned a lot. I just wish my toy room had enough extra space to accomodate something of that size now. Great job on the conceptual design; post pictures if you get the wild hair to start building it!

how much did that cost you?

the foamboard, wire mesh, plaster of paris, and the plywood base, i'm familiar with and can afford.

i havent checked out the prices for terrain modelling (grass, paint, chiipings/sand/gravel). if its too prohibitive, i'd prolly have to sculpt details in. dont have an air brush, so i'll have to improvise.

think i'll start with the cardboard work this weekend. wee!

mods, feel free to move this thread.

Wow man that's really fukn kool! In the inside of the base looks realy accurate and the front lawn is a percect scene for battles. Feeling some nostalgia looking at the print.

They've alreay released that BW2 playset with the frog, so surely they can pimp one of these sets out too us. If not Im kitbashing the frog

you could use real grass/chippings/sand/gravel from outside xD
that should cut costs a little xD

and the mock up looks mighty sweet :D
