Every military group requires a place to, after battles, go and rest, recuperate, and relax. The Combaticons should be no different in this, and so contracted the Constructicon Union(at an actually affordable rate, thanks to Swindle) to build them a mobile transport base to call 'home' at the end of a long day's warring. They affectionately call their new berthings as "The Pit", as anyone unwelcome there will assuredly find a hell all their own.

That said, there is ample room for the Combaticons and their gear in both open and closed forms, it has self-transforming capabilities, auto-defense systems, a single-person jail for the rare occasion Vortex gets to practice his interrogation skills, a med bay in the back that also serves as a launching port for a fully combined and ready for battle Bruticus, and many more features besides.

The playset is indeed a repurposed GI Joe playset that's called the Pit. Cost me something like 60 bucks a while back, got bored with my Joes, swapped into my Transformers as a particular scale's headquarters, got bored with that, got Bruticus, haven't looked back.

This would be pretty sweet for a G.I. Joe/Transformers crossovers webcomic.

    Not really, he's doing a face-to-face interrogation.

noooot really <.< I'm a bit of a stickler for scale, so a GI Joe would be...

About the size of that Predator in the middle. Yes, I know it's blurry, no, my camera wouldn't cooperate.

Nah, he's got both hands up, see? And if he were waving, it'd be more along the lines of taunting anyways, wouldn't it?

Oh, I hadn't noticed his other arm. Anyways nice idea using the pit with these guys. You think of personalizing it with any decepticon stickers or something?

Indeed. I'm actually thinking about suggesting to Reprolabels to make some alternate stickers for it(like, for example, a Playbot calender for the sleeping quarters, and some old G1 figure boxes to replace the toy box picture stickers that come with the Pit)

I use Fort Max. I prefer his base mode to the robot mode in fact.

I had the STARS playset as a kid too. Gone now. :(

I somewhere had the Robo Force base, the one that was like a mountain, which was a good scale for the pre-movie cast. I used it as Mt St Hillary.

I also had the New Adventures of He-man spaceship, the one that breaks down into various components and rebuilds? I used that for whatever scenery I needed.

Need to find that Robo Force base sometime.
