I still want to see a comparison between this guy and Tarn/Kultur. I can't believe nobody has done it yet. MMC's Megatron is the same size as Tarn so if this set was the same size it would be perfect.
For those of you with this kit and the SND kit. Which do you prefer? Also, which would you prefer if you throw in any of the available 3P IDW Optimus Primes?
Is this kit supposed to make CW Prime into the idw Optimus Prime from the comics?
Yes one of the designs
Yes, it's based on the post Dark Cybertron event design (made by Andrew Griffith, if I'm not wrong) that's also the cw design and the actual one in comics.
this add on simple and truck mode look neat.. ill wait for 1 year for this.. than mp10v come so ill cancel the plan to get it hehe now wait fot mp36v ahaha wish kbb did that
got the White version of this kit with a Battle Core Prime for sale...$65 shipped...details in sales thread....holla atcha boy!
Is there any compatible autobot sticker, decal or whaterver that can be applied in the central piece of the chest?
Likely the faction symbols of reprolabels
If anyone owning this kit would like to part with the "V-shaped" head (see attached picture) as a trade or a sale, I'm willing to get it ! Don't hesitate to MP me
i have the magnus version
Finally picked this kit up, and man...this thing is fragile. It actually broke in two places while I was placing it on my CW Optimus. Its like some of the plastic has very little give, and is too stiff and brittle. The plastic quality is not up to par when you compare it to the sturdier SND kit.
I've written TFsource about a replacement, and we'll see what they say.
I'm looking for the red version if anyone wants to part with theirs!
What's it done to the other modes?
So I bit the bullet and tracked down a CW Prime, nonnef ratchets and this kit. I got this one over SND because I liked this IDW better and the height scale fits way better for my CHUG/ IDW collection.
The hips on mine aren't nearly as bad as everyone says, they actually stay on fine. However while putting it together, one of the ball joints that attaches the chest panels just snapped right off with minimal pressure. I gorilla glued it back together.
I think it looks great, but can't recommend to buy it, no way it should have broke that easily.
That is absolutely what happened to mine. And a few minutes later, the chest-piece snapped where I was trying to insert the left-side chest-window.
Fragile, fragile, fragile. Beelzeboss really cheaped-out here.
Here's mine, looks good but yeah not worth the price for the quality.
I would love to see another 3rd party whip up this version of Optimus from the ground up.
