    I remember how popular the Bee Gees were back in the late 70's when I was a kid.

    Disco was popular during that time and I hated it.

    The Bee Gees weren't considered disco until Saturday Night Fever made them disco. If I remember correctly, most of their songs for that soundtrack were completed before the movie was made.
